Jade, Farouk, Hamda, Mahmoud and Aiden from Hargrave Park Primary School think your handwriting is very neat. Aiden especially like the way you wished the creature good luck – because they really need it!

      Hi Arkan,

What school do you go to?

The way you’re working independently on the film work is incredible. I hope you’re very proud of yourself.

Voice over for The Maker by Faduma Dirie and Zainab Poal at Gillespie Primary School:

The maker waits. The hour glass starts. His time has begun. Time flows like the wind. The pressure weighs him down. There must be one time to finish his destiny or his nation will vanish. Time melts like chocolates on a hot sizzling pan. He makes the face, he makes the eyes, he makes the teeth and in the oven it goes. He makes the arms, he makes the legs, and he makes the ears. He sews it on. He places the face and in the cotton goes. He plays the Maker’s music book. His creation rises, he hugs her and gives her the Maker’s book. And now his time is over as he rips into dust and her time begins. He spreads into ashes and flows into the hourglass. But this is not the entire end. Now her time begins.
