  1. This is my Caged Bird poem:
    A free bird leaps
on a branch of a blossom tree
    and shows his parents around
    till the visit ends
    and dips it’s wings
    in the colourful flowers
and dares to claim the tree

But a bird that is the elder
    down it’s narrow cage
    can seldom see through
    her bars of pain
    her wings are broken
    and her feet are bleeding
so she opens her throat to sing.

    The caged bird sings
    with a fearful trill
    of things alone
    but longed for still
    but her tune is heard
    on the tree above
for the caged bird sings for love

The free bird thinks of another glide
and strolling through the blossom trees
and the free bird waiting on a dawn bright lawn
and he names the trees his own

But a caged bird stands on the skeleton of dreams
her shadow shouts on a dead tree
    her wings are broken
and feet are bleeding so she opens her throat to sing

    The caged bird sings
    withe a deppressing trill
    of things alone
    but longed for still
    and her tune is heard
    on the tree above
    for the caged bird
    sings of love.

  2. Caged Bird-My Version
    By Samiul

    A free bird leaps
    on the edge of cloud
    and slope down mountain
    till the length ends
    and dips his wings
    in the snow
and dares to claim the mountain.

    But a bird that waits
    down his narrow cage
    can seldom see through
    his rain of oppression
    his wings are snipped and
    his feet are locked
so he opens his throat to sing

    The caged bird sings
    with a mouthful of words
    of things no-one knows
    but longed for still
    and his tune is heard
    on the distant park
    for the caged bird
sings of freedom from the darkness.

The free bird thinks of another glide
and the perspective through the airy trees
and the little insects waiting on a dawn bright lawn
and he names the place his own.

But a caged bird stands on the brink of dreams
his shadow shouts on an alarmed feeling
his wings are snipped and his feet are locked
Sohe opens his throat to sing.

    The caged bird sings
    with a fearful trill
    Of things unknown
    but longed for unmoving
and his tune is paid attention
    on the distant park
    for the caged bird
sings of freedom from the darkness

  3. This is my version of The Caged Bird

    A free bird leaps
on the back of the stars
and glides above a magical place
    tillthe sunlight ends
and dips his wing in the shimmering water
and dares to claim the world.

    But a bird that rages
    down his narrow cage
    can seldom see through
    his better days
    his wings are pinned down
    and his feet are chained
so he opens his throat to sing.

    The caged bird sings
    with a marvellous trill
of dreams that might never come reality
    but longed for still
    and his tune is heard
    on the far away hill
    for the caged bird
    sings of freedom.

The free bird thinks of a savior
and the places he can go through the soft damp trees
and the dinner waiting on a dawn bright lawn
and he names the world his own

But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams
his shadow shouts on a petrifying scream
his wings are stiff and his feet are chained
so he opens his throat to sing

    The caged bird sings
    with a fearful trill
    of things unknown but
    longed for still and his
tune is heard on the far away hill
    for the caged bird
    sings os freedom

  4. I am half Turkish , half Cypriot with other cultures in between

Dolma is my favourite Turkish dish

Esra is my name which means ‘night journey’ in Arabic

Never ever will i give up on my dreams

Travelling the world is my dream

I am proud of where i am from

The violin is how i express myself

Yellow is the colour of sunshine just like my mood

  5. This my poem :

    A free bird leaps
on the back of his dreams
    and follows them
    till the amusement ends
    and dips his wing
    in the oak tree
and dares to claim the forest.

    But bird that sulks
    down his narrow cage
    can seldom see through
    his bars of wrath
    his wings are bone
    and his feet are cut
so he opens his throat to sing.

    The caged bird sings
    a croaky trill
    of things mysterious
    but longed for still
    and his tune is heard
    on the snowy peaks
    sings of freedom.

The free bird thinks of another sky
and the breeze rushes through the tall trees
and the juicy beetles on a dawn bright lawn
and he names his branch his own.

But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams
his shadows shouts on a terrifying trill
his wings are bone and his feet are cut
so he opens his throat to sing.

    The caged bird sings
    of a fearful trill
    of things unknown
    but longed for still
    and his tune is heard
    on the distant field
for the caged bird sings of freedom.

  15. I, too

    I,too,sing Cyprus

    I am the hairy brother.
They send me to shave in the bathroom
    When company comes,
    But i laugh
    And shampoo well,
    And grow strong.

    Tommorrow,
    I’ll be in the livingroom
    When company comes.
    Nobody’ll dare
    Say to me ,
    ”Shave in the bathroom”
    Then.

  16. A Successful School

First, pour some wonderful teachers,a head teacher, students
    and a big wonderful building
    into the bowl.
Then you need to add equipment, motivation, justice,
    Respect,education and equality.
    next add some bathrooms,playgrounds and
devices and now stir vigorously and then turn
up the heat and leave to cook
    and simmer.

    warning
a little bit more of an ingredient and the reputation of the
    school will be
    destroyed.
