Rotherfield pupils were inspired by Claude McKay’s “The Tropics of New York”.Reflecting upon the opening stanza of the poem, they reflected on fruits or vegetables which had personal or cultural significance for them. Using pastels, they drew the produce and typed the reasons for their choices.
