  1. I love how this poem can change minds and it can also change the future in some ways and lots more.I am sad that this is reality though.

    1. Wow what an amazing response kadra! I agree with you! But it still scares me that 40 football fields worth of trees are being cut down every minute. As Prince EA says, it is horrific…

  2. I like this poem a lot, and I enjoy this poem more than the first. The message is really important to me and the rest of the world. I like the “Amazon desert”, mostly the beginning.

    1. Yes I completely agree. She most definitely has the makings of a poet! How long did it take you to write this?

  3. You know the Amazon desert,
    Once the Amazon Rain Forest,
    There billions of trees,
    Trees,
    Trees are amazing,
    Creating,and they clean,
    store and purify water.

    1. Wow saeedah, I think this poem is amazing and really makes me think when i am about to throw away a plastic bottle

  4. I think that it is a very apologetic beginning, though it has an inspiring, hopeful ending talking about how we can work together to fix our fate

  5. I love dear future generations sorry ! We made blackout poems from it and it was so fun.I hope Prince EA writes more poems!

  6. For instance Prince EA kept repeating “I’m sorry”, (which made me describe the beginning of the poem as apologetic) though he said “cut the beat” and “I do not accept this” which was inspiring and hopeful

  7. This poem is so impressive and passionate he’s so dedicated it’s amazing and it’s sad that we live in a society were people throw food and platsic in the ocean.Trees are what we breathe and we still cut them down. My favourite quote from this poem is “you know what cut the beat,im not sorry”.The state of the planet makes me worried for the future of the earth.

  8. I think this poem is really amazing and sentimental but also shocks me that someone would even have to write a poem like that – to raise awareness but also the fact that everything he has said in the poem is true-and that shocks me and also scares me as well as makes me quite angry that people like sara palin say that things like that almost every day.

  9. I personally love this poem because i like how he is trying to spread a message and awerness for deforestation and pouloution.

  10. I love this poem because it is very inspirational and the poet has made people think differently about the world, climate change, deforestation and cop 26.It has also made people realize how important the world and our lifes are. It was a very emotional poem because this is the reality of our world which is very sad.

  11. I really like the part that you said ‘ i am sorry we used natural as a Credit card ‘its really good

  12. This poem gives a strong message that has masses of insperation, but is also heartbraking that, as the poem reads: ‘We cut them down with brutal machines, horrific, at a rate of 40 football fields every minute, thats 50% of all the trees gone.’

  13. I really love this poem it was really inspirational and i hope people take better care of the world we are all a team so we have to take care of the planet or it will become somewere were we can’t live for example we need trees to survive because trees provide oxygen for you to breathe in and out exactly the same with plants we need them to survive as well.

  14. This poem inspired me to help save the planet and when i first saw the poem it was really emotional and recycle more and in genarel i just really like this poem when it compares the amazon rainforest to a desert because if people keep destroying and cutting down trees then the amazon rainforest it will become amazon rainforest

  15. I like this poem because it gives an impression and shows the full impact of climate on the planet , sometimes it can be difficult, and it also makes me sad to see that there are people who dont care “Sara Palin you say you like the smell of fossil fumes” and “Hey Fox news, i dare you to interview the homeless people who literally had their homes washed away while you were netled in your penthouse suite.” And the video/poem is really strong and it makes you really consider trying your best because there can be people who don’t care (Sara Palin and many others) and it makes you very easily make you emotional and it is a very good poem and I very much enjoyed reading it.

  16. I like this part because he said sorry then he stop the back roud music and talk about cutting down are nature.

  17. I love how this poem really hits and shows how their are so many problems in the world such as kids in Bejing that are forced to wear masks and how their are people burning down trees and animals are dying due to plastic because of us.

  18. I love the poem it made me feel inspired and instead it had many emotions also i like the part that said cut the beat

  19. This poem made me feel more about climate change as the citizens of Bangladesh had their homes swept away due to rising sea levels “their homes were literally washed away beneath their feet due to rising sea levels”. Also, the trees of the Amazon produce lots of oxygen” breathe the air they are creating”. If all trees of the Amazon were gone, then it would be harder for trees to produce oxygen; more carbon would be in the air.

  20. I really love this poem because it makes emotional and it very inspiring also it makes you realise how important the is and how we should take care of our world furthermore my favourite line was ” because if we don’t all work together to save the environment we will be equally extinct “.

  21. This poem was so inspiring, I nearly cried because of how emotional it was ( especially the Amazon desert part) .

We were so inspired that our teacher decided to stop using paper for our early morning soft start . I also started thinking about deforestation and how I can reduce using and wasting paper unnecessarily. It was such a emotive and powerful poem – my whole class were effected after we watcged the video.

  22. I loved the lines “And it wouldn’t make me so sad, if there weren’t so many pictures of leaves on it” because what is a tree without leaves?

  23. I liked the part “you know the Amazon Desert was once called the Amazon Rainforest” because it shows that how many trees were cut off

  24. So I’m sorry we put profit over people, greed before need
We used nature as a credit card
    Drafting animals to extinction
    Stealing their uniqueness
    Sorry we poisoned the ocean
    I’m sorry about our mindset
We had the nerve to call destruction
    “Progress”

Fox News climate change it a threat
    In Bangladesh homes,
washed away due to rising sea levels
    Sara Palin
The kids in Bejing wear pollution masks

  25. I like the way he is expressing his feelings and how he is telling the truth instead of just telling a lie just to make his poem rhyme.

  26. I absolutely love the way prince ea recited this poem it came to me with such power i watched this over and over again just because of the way his point came across this has truly inspired me more than anything else i have watched this man is amazing and has inspired every child in my class.

    1. Yes good point Kayden. The way a poem is recited can have a big impact. Perhaps Pakeman could try its own recital of “Dear Future Generations”?

  27. Dear Future sorry if we left you our mess of a planet.
We were too caught up in our own doings to do something.
People just don’t realize how special the earth was.

  28. Dear us sorry, sorry forgive us, we just did’t realize until it was gone I,m guessing amazon Rain Forest, were billion of tress there that are amazing, I am so sorry, that, we burned them down.

  29. I really like this poem because it can actually can change the earth. I like the phrase “we literally breathe the air.”

  30. Dear Future,
I say sorry we left you our mess,
That we were too caught up,
    Sorry we made excuses,
    We just didn’t realise,
    How special the earth was,

    The Amazon desert,
    Once called the Amazon Rainforest,
    There were billions of trees,
    Gorgeous,
    Amazing,
    We literally breathe the air
    They clean up our pollution
    Give us medicine
Which is which is why I am so sorry,
    We cut them down
At a rate of 40 football minutes every minute
That’s 50% of all trees gone
    Why for this

And you know when I was a child
The native Americans had such consideration
    For the planet
    Which brings me great sorrow
    I’m sorry
We used nature as a credit card
    Drafting animals to extinction
    To ever see their uniqueness
    Sorry about our mindset
The nerve to call this destruction
    Progress

  31. Dear future generations
    sorry
we listened to people who made excuses
    i hope you forgive us
we just didn’t realize how special the earth was

  32. I like this poem a lot and I like the last part”what ever you are fight for racism ,gay rights
we will be equally extinct”it inspire’s me to take care of our planet.

  33. i like how hes telling people to not pollute and i like when he said “i dare u to interview the thousands of people in bangladesh while who sat in your pent house nestled their homes were washed away beneath their feet due to rising sea levels and sarah palin you said u love the smell of fossle fuels well i urge u to talk to the kids in beijing who are forced to wear pollution masks just to go to school

  34. I like the way he expresses his feelings and instead of him telling a lie just to rhyme he said the truth and still worked out well

  35. I really like how it says the Amazon Desert because if we do not stop cutting the trees, will then no longer have an Amazon Rainforest.

  36. I really liked Prince Ea’s poem because I extremelly like when people care about the planet and I think that he is very brave to do something like this. He really inspired me to do my best and to help the earth.

  37. Dear Future Generations,
    Sorry
We listened to people who made excuses
    I hope you forgive us,
we just didn’t realise how special the earth was.

  38. Dear future,
I speak for the rest of us,
    Sorry,Sorry,Sorry,
We were caught up doing our own doings,
Sorry we listened to do nothing,
I hope you realise how special the earth was,
    Now,
    Its all gone.
    All gone

  39. Dear Future
The rest of a planet do something
    Sorry to you
We just didn’t realize how wrong
    Until it was gone .
I’m guessing you probably know the Amazon Desert
Once called the Amazon Rain Forest
    Gorgeous trees are amazing
    Breath the air
    They clean up our pollution
Give us medicine that cures our diseases
I’m so sorry to tell you that we burned them down
Cut them down with brutal machines
That is 50% of all the trees in the world all gone in the last 100 years
    Why?

  40. dear future Generations sorry we left of us it was once called the Amazon Rain Forest and there were billions of trees oh you don’t’ know much about trees cut them down with brutal machines at a rate of 40 football fields every minute that’s is the last 100 all the trees in the world all gone why’ for this

  41. Romeo’s blackout poem

    Dear us,
    Listened to nothing,
    Earth was gone.
    Trees clean our pollution,
    Diseaes brutal machinary.
    Last hundred years.
    Why?Make me sad,
If weren’t so many leaves on it.

  42. Dear generations
    Sorry we left you
We were to caught up in our
    Excuses forgive us we
    Didn’t realize how the earth
    Was gone you probably
    Know the amazon desert
It was one called the amazon rainforest
    Billions of trees all gorgeous
Trees are amazing we breathe the
    Air they are creating.

  43. Dear planet,
    We had
    such consideration,
    felt responsible for
    how they left.
    Most of
    today don’t care.
    Sorry, SORRY
    We used nature
    With no limit
    Stealing your
    uniqueness.

  44. Dear future generations
    Sorry we left mess
    We listened to excuses

    For rest of us
    With our mess
    Too caught up
In listening to people who made excuses
    To do nothing. Forgive us,
    We didn’t realize how special
    Marriage was.
    For example i’m guessing that
You believe it was once the amazon
And billions of trees don’t know much about
    Trees? We breathe the the
    Air they create.

Thats my blackout peom based on “dear future generations, sorry”

  48. Dear Mess of a planet ,
    Were to caught up ,
    To people who do nothing
    We didn’t realize wrong ,
    Example the ‘
    Trees gorgeous,
    Trees Amazing
We breathe the air they store,
    I am sorry world
    For this .
    Leaves read the planet,
    For generations ,
    Most don’t care,
Sorry we put greed over need,
    We used nature drafting extinction,
    Stealing uniqueness,
    Washed away kids,
    The future footprints we paid,
    A planet’s future does come correct .

  49. Dear Future Planet,
    Sorry we made excuses,
    Forgive us
We didn’t realise earth was gorgeous and
    Trees are amazing
    They clean our pollution,
    Give us food
    Native Americans felt responsible
    For the next generations
Sorry we used nature with no limit
Drafting animals to destruction, washed away,
    Ice is melting
    We must warm our hearts
    And change our souls
    Save nature, save us
    Fight for Equality
    All work together

  50. Dear planet,

  51. Dear rest of us poem by CAIRO

    Dear rest of us
    Sorry we made excuses
To do nothing I hoped we realized
    How he earth was
    We didn’t
    It was GONE
    For example
    You probably know the
    It was once
    A rainforest
    gorgeous trees
    They store give us medicine
    Which is why to tell
    We burned them
    Cut them
    50 percent in 100 years
    why.

  52. Dear Planet
    Sorry we made excuses
    Forgive us?
We didn’t realize the earth was special…

    You gorgeous amazing planet,
I am so sorry for this.

You know the land you bring us today-
    the nature, uniqueness
    thank you so much.

    I’m sorry planet
I’m sorry that we ignore you so much.

I’m sorry we didn’t fix you in time…

    Sorry.

  53. I really liked the poem because it gives great awarness to whats happening in the world.
My favourite part is “like a marriage going wrong,we didn’t know what we had until it was gone.”
It gives a really important message because it’s about how nature is being destroyed it’s very tense so it attracts a lot of attention.
I agree with the poet’s point of view because it help us open our eyes to see what destruction we made.

  54. I really love the poem it is really touching to me. I hope in secondary school we can read and learn more about Prince EA and learn more about the enviorment

  55. Sorry,
Sorry we didn’t help our planet
Sorry we didnt realize that our planet was in danger
Sorry we left our horrible mess for you
We didnt want to leave our world like this
We really wanted you to experience the most beautiful rain forest
Our fun fairs and many more you could have experienced
This just might bring you to angryness but we are definitely
    Sorry.

  56. Gold

    The touch
    Of solid
    Gold
    One touch
And gold will spread throught the vains
    Of the unfortunate person
    That has been solidified
    Now worth millions
    A gold
    Statue
    Lifless

  57. Dear Future Generations,

I speak for the rest of us when i say,
    Sorry
Sorry we left you with our mess
    Forgive us …
We didn’t realise how special Earth was.

    Well believe it or not,
    There where billions of trees
    All gorgeous
    Don’t know much about trees
    Let me tell you.

    We breathe the air
    They create
    They clean our pollution
    Our carbon
    Purify water
    Gives us medicine
    Cures diseases
    Feeds us

    Sorry.

    We burned them down
    Cut them with brutal machines
    50% of trees all gone
    In the last 100 years

    Which brings me sorrow

People use nature as a credit card
    With no spending limit
Homes washed due to rising sea

    I AM SORRY FUTURE GENERATIONS

  58. Dear future us

    Sorry
    Sorry
    People made excuses
    to do nothing.
    Forgive us?
    For example
    I’m guessing you probably know
    the Amazon Rainforest
it was once called the Amazon Rainforest
    there were billions of trees
    gorgeous trees-
    Creating clean carbon
    the last 100years.
That wouldn’t make me so sad
Sara Palin loves the smell of fossil fuels.

  59. Sorry
Sorry that we didn’t realize how special the earth was
    UNTIL IT WAS GONE
believe it or not trees …
thay clean up our pollution ,purify water and gives us food to eat .
Sorry we poisoned the oceans that you can’t even swim in then.
    which brings me great sorrow!

  60. Sorry,

    People made excuses
    Earth: going wrong
    Rainforest is desert
Trees used to be gorgeous, amazing
    Creating, cleaning, water, medicine
    Even food.
So sorry we burned them down

    Gone…
    Why?

    Most of us today
    Don’t care about tomorrow

    I’ m sorry
    We poisoned oceans
And our mindset called this destruction

    “Progress”

    Sarah Palin,
Said you love the smell of fossil fuels
Talk to the kids of Beijing
Who wear pollution masks just to go to school

    See
    You can ignore this
    But
    It can be avoided

    We doomed you

    Betray nature, betray us
    Save nature, save us

    If not,
    We will be equally extinct

    Sorry.

    1. I really like this Laliv. I like how you’ve played with sentence structure and used line breaks. You can sense your frustration with the situation.

  61. Dear Future Generations, sorry

    Dear Future us,
    Sorry
    Sorry we did…
    Nothing.
    Forgive us?
We didn’t realise what we had-Gone
Believe it or not, there were
    MILLIONS
    Of gorgeous trees
    CLEAN UP OUR POLLUTION!!!
    Sorry…
    We burned all the trees.
    Why?
    CONSIDER THE PLANET!
    Im sorry
Im sorry we used NATURE as a credit card,
    Animals extinct, poisoned oceans
    DESTRUCTION
    CLIMATE CHANGE IS A THREAT!
    Thousands of lives
    Washed…away…
You can ignore this, not avoid it
    Im sorry, Im sorry
    The future is an error!
    How?
It is up to US to take care of OUR planet!
    It is our ONLY HOME!
We are a PART of nature
    Save us…Save the environment
    We will be…extinct
    Sorry.

  62. I thought Prince EA’s poem was very powerfull it really hits hard as the message behind it was emotioal, sad and very thoughtfull it was a great poem and I would definately read or watch it again I might even subcribe to his channel.

  63. Dear Future us,
    Sorry
    Sorry,
    We did nothing
    Forgive us,
    We just didnt realize
    What we had
    Until it was gone…….
Belive it or not there were billions of trees,
    GORGEOUS
    Cleaning up our pollution.
    Sorry,
    We burned all the trees
    WHY?
    Consider the planet.
    I’m sorry
    I’m sorry,
We used nature as a credit card
    Animals to extinct
    POISON!
    Oceans destruction
    Climate change is a THREAT
    Thousands of homes washed…… away.
    FOSSIL FUELS, POLLUTION!
    You can ignore this ,
    Not avoided .
    I’m sorry, I’m sorry.
This future is an error .
    Correct it.
    How?
It is up to us to take care of this planet,
    It is our only home.
    We are apart of nature.
    Save US.
    Save the environment,
    We will be extinct.
    Sorry…….

  64. I like the poem because he makes as the amazon forest into a desert because he thinks it will become a desert if we don’t do anything about it.
My favourite part is the beginning.
I think it gives a important message because it’s trying to make us do something about it.
I agree with prince EA point of view because without trees we can’t survive.

  65. I really like the poem Dear future generation, sorry as it brings an amazing message and I love how much feeling there is in it .My favorite part of the poem is ‘we just didn’t realize how special the earth was like a marrige gone wrong ,we didn’t know what we had until it was gone ‘,because it is quite emotional and he is saying the earth is very special they just didn’t realize it at the time.

  66. I think that the poem has a great message behind it (Dear future generations, sorry) and its very emotional in some bits such as ‘We didn’t know what we had until it was gone’
And the part ‘why? For this (money)’ because it shows that people will do anything for money That shows how much greed people have in them even though they will denie it

And its sad how this is reality…

  67. I like the the poem dear future generations because its a very strong and understanable poem

My favourite part was when prince ea was talking about the amazon rainforest used to be called that and it shows that something so wonderful turned oit to be just a desert because of our actions and we hurt habits animals nature and many more.

I think it gives an important message such as we need to start taking more action and we need to see the damaged side of our planet because if we dont start making more action and lees talking we can actually save oir planet and ake our earth a way brpetter environmental and safe place.

I most definitely aggre with the poet because when he talks about our world it makes me and mabey other people think woe i cant leave my mess for the future generations and also he is very stong speaker especially when he is trying to send a message about climate change the environment and most importantly our planet.

  68. I really liked the poem “Dear Future Generations, Sorry (by Prince EA)” because it is very interesting and inspiring. My favourite part of the poem is the ending because he ends on a VERY inspirational message. I also think it gives a VERY important message which to me
is to save the planet and I 100% agree with the poet.

  69. Iam molly yelled molly. iam the indentical twin sister of mabel arist and neihbour who lives at the TOP but who is currently cruising down the nile these are MY family and friends HELP we need to get alfred Ladder to the roof tumbling now from the height stick up your hands window yell molly lift the ladder hundreds times of the pale hands appeared in the moonlight, sticking out into the night sky now give them the ladder said Molly alfred extented the ladder he carried it toward the apartment black. Take it up! Called molly and the hands began to move from rung to rung just like they cilmbing, but it was the ladder that climbed, foot by foot window by window floor by floor, toward the sky.

  70. 1.) i liked this poem ” Dear Future Generations” by Prince EA because its very inspiring and inspirational about the future generations and how we should treat it so the future generations get to see the amazing stuff we have seen during our generation.

2.) i liked how he brang up Sara Palin.

3.)yes its all about how we should treat the earth for the next generations.

4.)yes because its just telling us how we should treat the earth.

  71. 1- i like the peom dear future generations because it is inspirational.

2-my favourite part was with the animals and the part about the ocean.

3- yes I think it gives an important message about us trying the save the earth and us saving nature.

    4- yes i agree

  72. Dear future,
    I say,
    Sorry,
Sorry we were caught up in our own doings
    We listened to people
    To do nothing…
    I hope you,the future
Realize how special the Earth is

    For example,
    You know the
    Amazon Desert right?
    Well it was once called
    The Amazon Rainforest.
There were billions of trees there
    Oh ,you don’t know trees?
    Well trees are amazing

    They clean up our pollution
    They store and purify water
    Gives us medicine,
    Which is why I’m sorry,
To tell you that we burned them down
Cut them down with brutal machines
Every minute,in the last hundred years.
    Why?For this(money)

    If you know Native Americans
    They felt responsible
    For the next 7 generations.
    They didn’t care about tomorrow
I’m sorry we put greed over need
We used nature as a credit card
    And drafting animal’s to extinction,
    Stealing your friends.
    Sorry we poison ocean’s
so you can’t even swim in them
But most of all I’m sorry about our mindset
Cause we had the nerve to call
    Fox news “Progress”

I see homes in Bangladesh literally
Washed away due to rising sea levels
Sara Palin, you love the smell of fossil fuels
I dare you to talk to the kids of Beijing
Who just go to school cause of pollution
    See, it can be denied
So I,m sorry that our garden became a sinkhole.

  73. I think we left you with our mess of a planet.Sorry we listened to people who made excuses to do nothing,I just hope you forgive us we didn’t know what we had until it was gone. For example I’m guessing you know the Amazon Desert believe it or not it was called the Amazon Rain Forest, there were billions of trees all of them gorgeous Oh, you don’t know much about trees, Well let me tell you that trees are amazing I mean we breath the air they are creating and they clean up our pollution our carbon they store and purify water give us medicine that cures ours diseases,Which is why I am so sorry that we burned them down. Cut them down with brutal machines, horrific , at a rate of 40 football fields every minute that’s 50% of all the trees in the world all gone in the last 100 years why for this

  74. I like the poem because when he say sorry, to nature because of a mess of a planet ruining the world damage nature. My favourrite part is that when he we didn’t realise that marriage goimg wrong. The message of the poem is important because they cutting down tress posion the ocean.imagree because what ever we doing is so wrong.

  75. Future

    I speak for us.
    SORRY.
We left you with our planet of excuses.
    Forgive us,
    Special earth
For you know it as the Amazon Dessert,
Belive it was once known as the rainforest,
Home to billions of gorgeous ous trees-
    Amazing air they are creating,
    Give us medicine
    SORRY.
    We burned them down,
    Cut down with brutal machines,
    50% of all trees-
    Gone.

    Why so sad?
    Native Americans had such consideration
For the planet they felt rsponsable,
Left the land for the next 7 generations.
    Brings great sorrow,
Most of us today don’t care about…
    Tomorrow.
    So I’m
    SORRY.
    SORRY.

    We put Prophit over People.
    Greed over Need.
The Rule of Gold over The Golden Rule.
    SORRY.
We used nature as a credit card with no limit.
Animals to extinction, poisoned the oceans
    Most of all,
We had the nerve to call distruction…Progress

    Hey Fox News,
    Climate change IS A THREAT.
    While you where nestled,
People in Bangledesh had their homes washed away.
And Sara Palin, you said you love the smell of fossil fuels,
Talk to the kids of Baijing,
Who are forced to wear pollution masks.
    You can ignore this,
    But truth can be denied.
    Not avoided.
    So I’m
    SORRY.
    Future,
    Our footprint became a sinkhole,
    Not a garden.

    SORRY.
    We doomed you.
    Cut the beat.
    This future I don’t accept,
    We can redirect this.
We are a part of nature.
    Betray nature,
    Betray us.
    Save nature,
    Save us.

If we don’t all work together,
    The enviroment will be extinct.
    SORRY

    Trees are amazing

we cut them down at a rate of 40 football fields every minute,
50% of all the trees in the world gone,
    why?
For that we put profit above people,
    gold above the golden rule,
    nature as a credit card,
over drafting your chance to ever see the oceans.
But most of all, I’m sorry.
