I was playing call of duty WWII. Then, my Mum blocked the screen with a huge box. She’s so annoying! Then, I paused my game. What could be in this box? Mum said, “Stop playing your game and open the box!”. I thought for a second,what could it be? I opened the box. A puppy popped out. Mum got me a puppy! She’s the best Mum ever! Then, I saw it only had 3 legs. Gross! Mum you have to be kidding me! I threw the puppy onto the ground.
Then, it came back to me. I kicked it as if it was a football onto its back. For some reason it didn’t whine. I saw it dash to a ball but, it crashed into a wall. When it came back, it had a ball it’s mouth. It dropped the ball in front of me so, I picked the ball up and threw the ball in the box. However, it thought i was playing a game so it chased it. Stupid dog! It even got trapped in the box.
When the present arrived I was joyfully playing on my Xbox 1, Call Of Duty III. It felt as though I was actually sucked into the virtual world of the video game. Before I first opened the box, I thought my mum had finally managed to get me the new Call Of Duty black ops 4. I was so excited at first. Then when I had opened the box, I saw a delightful little puppy. When I saw the puppy’s maimed leg, I was shocked, terrified and furious with sweat dripping down my spine. I was filled with anger inside me, it was just about to explode like a volcano, I chucked the pup back first on the ground like it was a broken toy.
When the puppy had seen it was on the floor, it was enthusiastic to get back and try to get my attention. As it lay on its backside, it saw a bright red ball underneath a drawer .The pup was charging towards the drawer to grab the ball it hit the pup head first but grabbed the ball . Once the dog had grabbed the ball he started to play with it all he was thinking about was playing with the shiny,red ball. At the end I was so happy to see the pup playing I got up on to my leg and went to the front door with the ball.Then we happily played together for that afternoon.

It was the same as any other day, it all started out when I was playing on my xbox when all of a sudden my Mum dropped a cardboard box on the table that was in front of me! I immediately hesitated and struggled because it was blocking my view! Enthusiastically, she exclaimed, ”why don’t you open the present I brought you’’ I paused my game and gasped. A present for me?! It would probably be game with a console! I was so excited – I started to open the box. When I opened the cardboard box a dog came leaping out of it!
It was cool at first. But I looked closer and saw it had one leg missing! ( It was Maimed ). UGRH! What a useless present my clueless Mom gave me! This dog is a mistake! I threw the useless puppy away from me in disgust! Unfortunately, the dog still didn’t break a rib. Instead it started messing about. I tried to ignore it’s stupid behavior. But It grabbed my leg! I kicked away so it wouldn’t bother me. It found a ball that I used to play cricket with in the box I threw away. It charged towards it and banged it’s head on the cupboard.

It was a regular day, I got out of bed and had breakfast. My mum was at work, so like always, I decided to play some of my favourite video games. However, when Mum came back from work, she simply shoved a box in front of me, it was blocking the screen. I tried to ignore the box but it was probably a new games console… or new video games, so I had to look but to my surprise it wasn’t. Instead, it was a puppy! Even though it was not new video games, it was amazing, imagine all of the possibilities! But as soon as I saw that the pup had been maimed, my jaw dropped. Was this some kind of joke?! I then thought I should throw it on the floor because who would like a dog with a maimed leg. A dog with all its legs is way better, then it can do more things.
As I threw the dog, he just got back up as if nothing happened! It just made me even more angry. But when he did get back up, it found the ball that I got when I was 5 years old, it was very clumsy. Then it tried to play with me, I guess it was a bit cute but I kicked the ball away, I couldn’t show that I liked it (or it would play with me even more). But it was too cute resist I watched for a couple more seconds I then picked up the ball both me and the dog walked outside, we then made our way to park, I am also maimed, meaning we surprisingly share something in common.
It was just a normal day for me. Played my games, lazed around, and just talk to my friends. My Mum was being really annoying, she kept on interrupting my game and telling me she was going out and wouldn’t come back for an hour. Why would I want to know where she is going? I’m 14 for heaven’s sake! She come back after 2 hours carrying a huge box which she plonked in front of me and made me die in my game! She left the room upstairs talking to her boss (Always her boss) and told me to open the box. I wondered what was in it. Maybe it was a new console with with the new game, Fortnite!!!!! I pushed it a little and it was quite heavy I held the box and lifted the lid slightly up and a dog came out of nowhere trying to get out the box! Amazing! I was so happy. I lifted the dog and giggled as it tried to lick my face. It was sooooooo cute. Suddenly, I saw it had an amputated limb. It was disgusting and I chucked it away, I didn’t want it next to me or my Playstation 4.
I decided to ignore it and went back to my game. The puppy was lying on its back and seemed to want me to scratch its tummy. As if I would go anywhere next to that creature. He spotted something under the cupboard, it raced towards the item and crashed head-first into it. Pathetic. Grabbing the bright red ball, it nudged it towards me and expected me to throw it. I felt sorry for it and kicked the ball. I kicked it, not threw it, there’s a big difference. The puppy raced after the ball, it tripped and fell into the box. The box was on top of it and started to move, crashing into the cupboard and table. A small smile appeared on my face. He was actually pretty funny. I picked up the ball and strapped my crutches on, the puppy watching me with a confused look on his face. Oreo (as I now called him) was racing around my feet like a roller coaster gone wrong. I yelled to Mum I was going to take Oreo out for a walk. My first walk in months.
While playing my computer,I was in a virtual world of my own reality with my xbox one. I finally got that new game called Fortnite. Now I’m up to date with my friends. After a while, my Mum came back home and then out of nowhere my Mum dumped a gigantic, brown box in front of the TV screen. When I was in the middle of the match, she then told me that the box was for me it. I went to open it and energetically, a little puppy jumped right out of the box. At first, I thought it was kinda cool but then I saw that it was maimed so I did something really bad and threw the dog onto the ground with force.Then I continued to play some more Fortnite.
After I threw him on the floor, the puppy reacted like we were playing. Then he ran off and bumped his head right into the wooden table and went under it. I went back to playing Fortnite . Then, he came back with a ball, I kicked it away and he chased a after it and continued to fall down but get back up again. I had kicked the ball because I wanted the dog to go away puppies are so annoying. The dog was thinking i was playing with him but was angry. He ran into the box were the ball was and tipped it over. The puppy started to move the box and ran into the wooden table again and then came box,it made me laugh. The puppy came back with the ball I made my mind I decided to go outside to play with him I needed to think about naming him.

Dear diary,
Today started like any other day:playing my favourite computer game – WAR OF THE SURVIVORS.The age limit is 18 and I’m 14 but I love the game and I play it all day.
This day was different though, as my Mum had brought home a present. At first I got annoyed because she stuck it right in my face making me lose my game, but after a while my curiosity got the better of me and I began to take a peek… There must be a z-box in the box I cried happily. A wash of excitement came over me as I began to lift the lid…Out jumped a puppy! I was super excited until I saw it had a maimed leg. MUUUUUUUUM! It was so repulsive I nearly puked.
I kicked the puppy across the room then while I was playing my game it saw a red ball and ran into the closet.How stupid!The dog tried again.Over he came, the red ball in his mouth.GEE!This was getting boring.I kicked the ball across the living room and into a box.The dog struggled this time and it fell over lots of times. Eventually, he got there and came bounding back to me and spat the ball at me. You could tell his he was full of determination.
I really enjoyed this it when we wrote this.
Dear Diary,
I am writing to tell you about this unexpected day. All of things that happened today really surprised me.
I was playing a exciting game of Call of duty III when my extremely boring Mum walked in with a box. She dumped it down in front of me and went to get the phone, which was ringing. Then she called out, “It’s for you darling,” and started answering the phone. I hoped a huge amount of amount of video games would be in the box but it wasn’t likely. I felt a pang of excitement as I opened the mysterious box. All of a sudden, a small puppy exploded out of the box. I laughed with delight until I saw it was maimed. I dropped it on the floor and felt disgusted – I kicked it away.
For some reason the dog didn’t give up, it just came back with a determined look on its face. This time I threw him hard on the floor. The puppy somehow saw a red, rubbery ball while on
his back. It was under a fridge. He somehow got under the fridge and retrieved the ball. I violently kicked the ball away to let the dog know I didn’t want to play. However, the stupid dog misinterpreted that I wanted to play and bounded after it. The dog brings it back to me expecting me to kick it again. I couldn’t help admiring this dog. I found my crutches and shouted, “I’m going out to play with the dog.” The puppy followed me outside into the garden. I threw the ball and the dog brought it back to me. This was the start of a beautiful relationship.

and it was in my way whilst I was playing. When my Mum told me to open the box, I stopped my game and moved the top flap slowly. I was thinking she brought me a new console…or a new xbox control. When I opened it, I was surprised because it was a puppy, not a console not an xbox, A puppy! I saw that my new pet puppy had only 3 legs I was quite disgusted and upset it looked weird. Then, I chucked it on the floor and when it came up to me I kicked it away and continued my game.
As soon as I threw the puppy away on the floor he was acting silly and wriggling around on the floor. The puppy saw a red ball underneath a drawer and sprinted after it and he bumped into it. Once he got the ball, he brought it to me and I kicked it away because he was annoying me while I was playing a video game. The dog dashed after it but he ran back to me with the ball – he thought I was playing with him…well it wouldn’t hurt to play a bit. I got my crutches and went outside with the puppy to play and throw the ball. Who knew we could be friends in the end?
I was playing call of duty when my Mum came in with a large box that had something in side of it. I thought it was a new xbox but the box started to move left and right a little bit so I opened it. I was a bit scared when the dog jumped out the box, at first sight I was very happy but then I realised something…. I saw it only had three legs;I was upset. I was also angry because I thought that he was mocking me and they were trying to make fun of my one leg. I flung it across the room but surprisingly it just sprung up. While it was on its back, it looked under the shelf and saw a red ball it ran as fast as it could to the ball. Then I kicked the dog again because it kept barking.
As the day started, I got out of bed and started to play on my console. Then Mum suddenly came and put a massive brown box in front of me. Probably more boring clothes! When I opened the box, I felt happy and excited to see a new puppy. When I saw that the puppy it had a maimed leg so I didn’t really like it anymore. I then threw the puppy on the floor and kicked it when it wanted to play with me.
When the puppy got thrown on the floor, he liked it and thought it was funny. While the puppy was on his back he saw a gigantic red ball. Next he goes to get the ball then he brang it to me. I kicked the ball away because I wasn’t interested in the puppy, I was more interested in the game then a stupid puppy with a broken leg. The dog starts to play with the ball and he thinks I am playing with him because I kicked the ball away; After a while I found the dog funny so I played with him outside in the garden.
My Mum is the most annoying Mum in the whole wide world because she put a big box front of my face when I was playing my favourite video game.
I was just sitting on the sofa playing my video games until mum came in with a box. I had absolutely no idea of what could have possibly been in the box. It could have been anything. I felt so excited when I opened the box , my heart jumped. I thought it was horrible that the dog had a maimed leg , its because I feel angry that I have one too.It brought me bad memories. I felt so bad I kicked the puppy , threw it on the floor. Why would i do such a thing like that.
The puppy was making funny noises when he was on the floor. When the puppy is rolled over on his back , he sees a small red ball. The puppy sees a red ball then starts to play with the ball and the ball goes under the shelf then try to get it but then he does not fit so then goes again then manages to get the ball. He came to me but I was so angry and I kicked the ball into the box that he came from. The dog tries so many times and flips over the ball. In the end I felt sorry for the dog and I was angry how I treated him so I decided to be happy and play with him.
In conclusion I was really glad that I got along well with the dog , I was very sad that I didn’t complete my video game.
I was playing on my x-box and I was doing so well; I was about to win my game. Then my Mum came and put a box next to me! It was in the way so I could not see the screen, it made me lose and I was furious. My Mum said it was a present? I didn’t really care that much because a x-box is all I need but it did make me want to open it. So I did. And when opened it, I was so surprised…I slowly opened the box and it was a puppy. I was so happy that I finally had a friend that I could love and care for but then I saw something… The dog only had three legs! why did my mom get a dog with only one leg? I felt so unhappy that I wanted to scream . i threw the dog on the ground and it came back! So i kicked it away it rolled over and found a ball and started to play

This morning, I woke up and I realised that it was Saturday I didn’t want to get dressed but my Mum sent me straight back upstairs, finally that was over.
I was sent upstairs to my delight, as I had an Xbox one and my great new game, Tomb Raider. I was making it so far until my mum interrupted me with a box that she put down right in front of me. I thought it was a new game or console. I took no notice of it and took more notice in the health pack that was in front of me. It was carnage. Then, mum pulled out the plug. She’s so annoying!! She told me to open the box and see what was inside. She didn’t tell me what it was as I think she wanted it to be a surprise. The phone rang and she went upstairs. I thought it was a pet, as a whimpering noise seemed to come out of it. I felt excited and nervous as slowly opened the box and then blasted out a cute,tiny puppy. Then I realised only the three legs, Ew! It was disgusting! I stood up and put the plug in the socket. I also started up the game. I threw the dog to the floor.
The puppy never gave up and found that small rubber red ball. Those annoying things that must have come in the box. As he ran to the draws (which the ball was under) he ran and bumped into the the draws. He struggled so much to get the ball out of the back of the draws, as it was so far back. He got it eventually and rolled it towards me. I violently kicked it away as far as I could but still, he continued to chase it. I started to like him more and more and I got up, shouted to Mum that I would be outside and picked up my crutches. I headed out of the door and called for the dog to follow me. He responded instantly and we played ball. I threw it to the fence and, as I did that, I knew this would be the start of a great relationship.

At Canonbury school, we started off our Writing through Film topic by making special folders. We then planned and wrote stories that created either more or less sympathy for the boy or the dog.

Something I liked about the film is that the Boy and the Dog ended up being friends, although they didn’t start of good. Another thing I liked about the present is that the boy let his mom know that he was going out because now a days teenagers go out and don’t even let there parents know & the fact is that sometimes they come back very late,{possibly in the morning}.One more thing, what I absolutely love, with no doubt is the way the Dog jumped out of the box and looked so enthusiastic, it looked as though the boy was shocked with surprise! Thanks for these videos keep up the AMZING work.
