  1. clap!snap!the bang crack!
    grip,grab!pinch,nab!
and down down to the goblin town
    you go my lad!

    clash,crash!crush,smash!
    hammer and tongs!knocker and gongs!
    pond, pond, far underground!
    ho,ho!my lad!
    swish,smack!whip crack!
batter and beat! yammer and bleat!
    work,work!not dare to shirk,
while goblins quaff, and goblins laugh
round and round far under ground
    below, my lad!

    1. Hi Kevin. Thank you for sharing an extract from “The Hobbit” by J.R.R. Tolkien. Are you a fan?
What do you like about the text?

  2. When i first got to London i wasn’t impressed
I heard about the pollution and the dirty mess
it wasn’t the best but then i got to the centrle part
i changed my mind on how beautiful the view was
but piccaso paintings confused me quite a bit.

  3. London
when I first went to London
I was disgusted at the broken
    glass and graffiti but my
    parents saw the bright side
    and the amazing view

they took me to an Italian
    restaurant but I didn’t like
it. It tasted like an old, rotten
    pizza already chewed so
I went on my phone for
    the time being but there
was no wifi so I sadly
    stared at my parents eating

  4. Walking through a maze of sound
    Listening to people talk
I can’t go anywhere with them in my way
    There talking behind my back

Running through the glimpse of sunlight
    Thinking where to go next
    I don’t no I really don’t
    In this never ending maze

  5. LONDON

    Long and lousy building sites.
    Old historical places.
    New schools and dusty halls.
    Down falls of rain.
    Over decorated homes.
    Not able to enjoy it.

  6. London
When I first went to London
    I needed a drink
    I could barely blink
    All of the lights
    So very bright
It was either me or my sight
My mum looking at my father
    Everyone was in shock
I saw somebody throw a rock right at somebody’s house
And ran away just like a mouse

  7. when I first went to London
    I noticed all the fuss
All the people on the street
All the people on the buss

When I first got of the tube
I stepped into a cloud of smoke
I felt the ash floating across my face
As I stepped up the stairs I felt a beam of light across my face but then it dissappeared
I heard people moaning as the sky turned grey
As i ran home I tasted the bitter rain on my tongue

  8. I saw the tube as if it was a black hole
when I stepped outside the first thing
I wanted to do was taste the delicious
NANDOS. I saw people sleeping on the
street. I wandered why so I gave them
some food and they thanked me
Everyone was shouting so I went
to a sky scraper where it had an open
view. I could see the busy shops
and the people so I went
down to the street where the
dirty walls where so I headed back home
    THE
    END DDD

  9. When I first went to London I saw graffiti in a dark scary ally
I saw a construction sight with lots of cranes
The extrordinary, bright lights made me happy
I went to a famous restaurant and tasted their famous recipe it was tasty

  10. LONDON

I went to London, I was disappointed to leave my home.
    I couldn’t help but moan.
Not one house was right at all.
    The homes were to small.

  11. When I fuist went to London I saw buses and Buildings and lots of shops i felt amased and dazed wen the bright lights hit my face i was over welmed when when i saw all the people swarming in and out of cars The big bright lights hit my eyes and the bright buses fling by people wear charging on the tube and calling people rude

  12. When I first went to London I see the people shouting.
I saw people were playing music and guitars.
I hear the birds singing in the tree,
I smell the food in the restaurant.
    I see people walking around.
    I smell the rubbish bins.
I see the people walking to homeless people to give them food.
    I smell the rain.
I see the colourful light glowing in the mist.
I see the children playing in the park.
I worry about the children surrounded by pollution.

    and guitars.
I hear the bird singing in the tree. I

  13. LONDON
When I first went to London
    mountain of rubbish sounded me
as I stumbled my way through the city
one gulp and I can taste the pollution
    going down into my throat.

The food tastes different and very peculiar
they have something called jerk chicken
the view is quite good if you just wait
the city was so bright just like a light.

  15. London
When i first went to London i was shocked with all the crime, broken glass and grafiti.I saw all the things which put me down and my parents saw all the best things. It seemed to me i had bad luck i heard people banging drums it was awful i screamed for them to stop my head could not take anymore. My parents thought it was brilliant cheering along with the crowd. I grabbed my parents and ran away from the noise.

  16. They have watered the streets.
It glows as the lamps beam on it .
They lie like a flower river .
But then cabs go down one by one and next to you can hear the sounds of shuffling shoes.
People walk along the edges of the curbs.
while night walkers run or walk along the path.
