  1. Dear Diary
I have found out how someone feels, how their wrath is brewing and getting ready for me to come and step in. I feel deep regret for what I’ve done but, judging by there actions, it’s too late.

  2. William Blake’s A Poison Tree
    Foe’s point of view
    Facebook message

I’m feeling so sad after this. How could this happen to me? I was beaten by the poison tree. My life is miserable, I will never bully again. Someone’s wrath was unleashed on me and now I will never be the same. I will always be sad when I walk down the long alienated lane.

    Feeling terrified and worried

    1. well done Justin, you thought very carefully about what you were writing and now you produced excellent writing.

      1. You thought really hard about what you were writing and I feel very happy for you that you were confident enough to share your feelings on this poem with this website and all of us

  3. Hey whats going on guys today we did the poison tree poem by blake i wonder how the foe felt in the last excrutiatingly painful few seconds he had. I mean did he have regrets was he being naughty did he regret life or something because im pretty sure a poison tree would look like A DAMN NORMAL ONE!!!!!!!! well in that case i will see you in the next vlog. Bye-Bye.#NoRegrets

    1. That is a great thought cem .I don’t think (for a fact) that the foe would have felt regret after eating the apple. But I think that before he had the apple he knew that the tree was his (just like the poem says). And he ate the apple to bring anger to him.

  4. A tweet about William Blake.

    #WilliamBlakePoetry:-)

William Blake is one of the best poets in the entire world. This is very odd since I am writing this as my trains are probably coming and going and also some will be delayed!!!!! Anyway, I was getting a little bit carried away, I would not like to be a poet myself, but! – Poems are very VERY COOL.

  5. Dear Diary,

There is somebody on the hunt for me, and all of a sudden, I am a disrespectful foe who does not care about the feelings of others. But I feel like nobody cares about the feelings of yours truly. Has anybody even thought of saying that he overreacted just a little bit?

I sure don’t think so. His wrath is unmanageable, but no-one wants to mention it. Please help me, diary.

    1. Junior
I like how your diary entry is showing how you think the foe fell.Do you think this poem is about Blake’s life or someone close to him?

  6. This is my recreation of A Poison Tree, by William Blake, in the foe’s perspective. As a tweet.

    #regrets made

Regrets made with this random guy.
    Help.
    To the guy I bullied,
    Sorry.

    #CalmYourWrath

William Blake is a world famous poet and we have listen and read his poem called ‘Poison Tree’ in this poem it tells us a lesson not to be angry as much and if we do something we regret say sorry.

  8. Hey guys its nath here and I am here to talk to about turning the other cheek to your foes.
Have you ever experienced when you have retaliated after someone has done something bad to you?

Well this is what the person did to his foe in the story the poison tree,
after a while the foe recognized what he was doing and stopped hurt the person.
After all that the lesson is always say sorry.

    #sorry… IM NOT SORRY

  9. Dear Diary
I have found out how someone feels, how their wrath is brewing and getting ready for me to come and step in. I feel deep regret for what I’ve done. It is too late to go back. The hatred and anger has gone to far to change. I am afraid of what will happen…

  12. A poison apple William Blake
And I watered it in love , night and day with me alone
I can spread love around the world it is wild
    Flowers are crying and dying
    Love is here and near

  13. The Poisonous Foe

    The anger grew inside me,
I told it, stop, it had ended,
It came back and gave me revenge,
One night it grew inside me and,
    Bursted into tears and emotions,
Day and night it became stronger,
    With my anger it weakened,

Then I peek in my garden,
And see the shadow of the foe,
The sun came out and it burned,
    Like a flower drying up,
I crept out and dropped a spark,
    The foe melted slowly crying,
    Nothing can bring me down,
    As quickly as the sorrow,

    1. Panther, Panther roaming the abyss of night,
      Climbing skills to survive.
What immortal god in the sky would send a pitch black animal?
Killing animals as their tears water the plants
Sharp teeth to devour its prey, will pounce on his prey all day…
Will this creature ever die and soon it’s species will go to the light.

  14. IF I should die, think only this of me:
That there’s some corner of a foreign field
That is forever England. There shall be
    In that rich earth a richer dust concealed;
A dust whom England bore, shaped, made aware,
Gave, once, her flowers to love, her ways to roam,
A body of England’s, breathing English air,
Washed by the rivers, blest by the suns of home.
And think, this heart, all evil shed away,
A pulse in the eternal mind, no less
    Gives somewhere back the thoughts by England given;
    Her sights and sounds; dreams happy as her day;
And laughter, learnt of friends; and gentleness,
In hearts at peace, under an English heave

I like this poem because it reminded me of remembrance day and it makes me think
about all the soldiers who risked there lives for us.

  15. hi, everyone.from week 1 to 4.it has been so much fun.and it has been improving my vocabulary.i am also upset that the project is about to end.we only got 1 week left and then its over!!

  16. My foe was angry at me;
    So I was angry back.
    I saw within his eyes,
    The fire of his wrath.

    But little did I know;
    That he was plotting revenge.
Until I saw the blooming tree,
That had bore an apple for me.

That night, I fell for the trap,
I crept over the wall but didn’t look back
    I had found the apple
    One bite …

    Dead

  17. He was the envy of all my enemies
He had a fight with his friend and I took advantage
My wrath will grow and so will his
Our paths will cross ending in a big blow
I laugh, he cries, we all win

He grew weaker, I grew stronger
He felt scared, I felt in power
He grew weaker, I grew stronger
Only to find a tree with an apple

Though little I knew… it was a poisonous apple

    By Aedan and Leo

  18. My foe was angry at me

So he made me angry back.

He told me his wrath but I did not believe

I saw deep into his eyes.

He wanted me to be dead.

    He wanted revenge cold revenge

The tree blooming out of the ground.

    Watering it with my tears

Waiting for an apple to bore.

That night I fell for the trick

I went over the fence not thinking.

    I came across the apple

    That one bite……

    Dead

  19. My friend was angry at me
He told his wrath to end,
He was angry at his foe
He told his wrath not to be angry at me
But his wrath grew and grew

And he watered it in fears,
Night & morning with his tears:
And he sunned it with smiles,
    And with soft deceitful wiles.
My friend was angry at me
    We fought over this tree

    This tree we fought over
It grew both day and night.
Till it bore an apple bright.
    And I beheld it shine,
    I knew it was his
    And into his garden stole,
    When the night had veiled the pole;
    In the morning he was glad to see;
    Me outstretched beneath the tree.
Oh his wicked smile I see
    By Asmaa and James

  20. My foe was angry with me,
Their wrath bore a single seed,
The seed grew into a plant so mean,
That it was known as the poison tree.

They ignored me, and cast glaring eyes,
Through which I saw blazing demise,
His tree grew and grew so fast,
While mine settled for a flower, at last.

His tree was watered with disgust,
And covered with the light of revenge,
But I had to resolve this endless fight
So I stole into his garden at night.

A gleaming apple, red with wrath,
    Hung from across the path,
I snatched it, and took one bite,
And then I knew that the apple was a poisoned delight.

  21. The Poison Tree
His angry tree grows higher than mine,
    Sprouting grapes for poison wine,
It keep and keeps on growing as I speak
It grows higher than canopy peaks
The days keep getting longer, as I’m getting weaker
    The roots growing splintery bark,
And as I watch my anger grows as a tree
A devil of a man that’s overcome me

I see him sleeping in the breezy night
I planned to kill him which gives me a fright
But I have to do what I have to do
The tree stops growing as I think things through
But I can never stop what I’m doing now
    An apple like a delicacy
Drops with part of the tree
    Looking down it impales me
Then I fall flat below the tree hoping I will stop

  22. My friend but now my foe
My flaming wrath will grow By Oscar and Serafino
Like a fire fed with petrol
    Until it eventually blows

My foe has grown an apple tree
    A single apple did grow
    Shining in the illuminous sunlight
I want it, I want it, I want it

In the night I did a sin
In the darkness when the light was dim
    Into his garden I stole
The apple hanging from a thin branch

I climbed the tree to the bright red apple
I reached out and touched it
I pulled it gently towards me
And took one very small bite

    The apple inside was black
I fell to the ground on my back
I saw nothing else as I died there
And still now to this day, I lie there…

  23. My foe and I had a fight.
He shouted and I hit him,
It had started with a few words,
But then its started to grow…

    My foe’s wrath grew,
    Just like a seed,
He watred it and sunned it,
With his tears, and his smiles.

    My foe; had a tree,
From it grew an apple bright,
    Red, as blood,
    And as beautiful as sunrise.

    My foe’s tree was big,
    My foe’s tree was tall,
I liked it until I ate the apple,
Which brought me to the floor.

  24. Hatred fills me against my foe,
    fury fills me from my toe;
    My wrath is just beginning,
It’s making my head rumble, whilst spinning.

I wanted my enemy to feel my anger,
    And I will produce an absolute banger;
    I wanted my revenge,
    So he would not avenge;

I peered over in his garden,
    And he returned with “pardon”;
    I jumped over the gate,
    He stared at me like bait;

    There before the sun shine,
I knew this apple was mine:
My fists grabbed for the apple,
    Not knowing it would kill me;

    I lie there dead,
With the poison in my head!

  25. I was once a man’s foe
I had tormented him, day and night
    His wrath grew and grew
Till a mighty tree was there
    Towering over me, majestically.

An apple appeared, through its branches
    An apple of poison.

But I didn’t know that back then,
When greed ran through my veins
I swiftly pulled the poisoned fruit
    Right from the branches,
Ate a massive bite of it,
    And ‘thunk’ I fell dead.

  26. His friend was angry at him,
He told his wrath no , and it ended up in the bin
My friend was angry at me,
He told his wrath not , but I could see

    He waterd it in tears,
Night and morning with his fears
He sunned it with his joy,
Like he was playing with all his toys,

He grew it day and day,
    Until an apple once layed,
It was as red as blood,
And I ate it with my love,

    And into his garden stole,
    When the night had veils throughout the pole;
And was he glad to see me there
With my heart and soul so rare
    By Lara & Nimo

  27. I was angry with my foe.
I told my angry wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my friend.
I didn’t tell the wrath, so it started to grow.
I started to cry and I watered my tree.
And I smiled that made my tree shine.
    And with deceitful wiles.
    Night and day it grew
Until it grew a amazing apple
And my foe beheld it shine
    He knew it wasn’t him
    And into my garden fence
    When the night pole
My friend out sketched the tree

  28. I was angry with my friend

    our friendship was nearly over,

Then I was angry with my foe

    Then my wrath didn’t grow

Then I watered it with fears

And it grew as much as my tears

Every night and day it grew and grew

More and more it did not stop

And I sunned it with smiles,

    And with soft deceitful wiles.

     Ria and Safa 

  29. I was angry with my foe
    I made his wrath grow
    He cried as I laughed
As he lied next to his plant

    I took advantage of him
As his tears tried to fade away
The tree grew both day and night.
Till it bore an apple bright

As I climbed over the garden fence
I saw an apple over there shining brightly
I took my chance and jumped so high
I cached it in my giant fist
As I laughed and danced around and ate it.

  30. THE MYSRERIOUS CURSE !!
It was a Friday evening ,
    My week being long and tiring ;
My friend started a fight ,
It was such a frightening sight .

    Every day it rained,
    Like a thunderstorm in pain;
    Every day it got worse…
It was like a mysterious curse!

    By Mae and Juliana

  31. NIGHT PUDDLE.
Each day it rained and I never complained
I was attacked with a bat
    By a guy in hat
    I was fearless
    He was tearless
    Blood gushing
    Sweat rushing
    Brain dizzy
    Eye fuzzy
It always got wore like a blood thirsty curse
Cars passed by as I began to cry
Pouring down my face my hair dye
My hearts still broken from that night
But trust me I put up a fight

  32. I have a fear
That I feel is coming near,
    My tears are falling
    And I can hear calling,
Cars are passing by everybody lied.

    I am at the top
    Help me before I drop,
    I am crying
    Soon I’ll be dying,
    My friend put me here
    It seems all clear,
The world didn’t want me here
Now all I do is shed tears.

  33. it was a Monday morning without a warning the sun did not shine. It was painful and meanful but I stood my ground. I told him it wasn’t right know he is going to pay for it every night. I saw a apple my final choice as I lay there crying yes it was fighting the lightning cracking the sky
    #Goodbye

  34. I took an apple from his tree
Now his hatred was clear to see
He saw nothing looking at me
    I would haunt him
    I would find him
He is going to pay for it every night
But I wouldn’t be seen in plain sight
    Somebody who was my friend
Let me meet a terrible end
Now I lay here on my own
And I start to see my bones
Now I watch the horses go by
And ask my myself why, why
    My eyes begin to shut
    My lifeline begins to cut
    I feel no remorse
    For what I have done
But I learnt a valuable lesson
Bad things come from an unlikely source

  35. Why me?

I am now writing these words from the engravings on my stone. As the muscles in my body feel like shaking bones.

My friend is awfully unfair, He tricked me into falling down the stairs. His new friend smiles He now lives with him in the isles.

My friend calls me now his foe, now I cry from my head to my toes. Next time I’ll promise. Promise I won’t let you go.

  36. They want a song about foreign trips, but how about these staffs here takes the mick, for example the food is a joke if you eat it you’re just going to choke.

I’m just saying this hotel is bad yeah, everyone here would say “shut this place down yeah.”
Never in my life been to a hotel that’s a dive guess they all don’t see issue’s with health and safety.

It was a Friday evening I was walking home I saw my friend and I hit him on his funny bone, he told me it wasn’t right but all I wanted to do was fight.

I felt like crying but I did it all inside because people will make fun of the tears coming out my eyes, I wish I was never born why? Because I didn’t want to make anybody sad and cry .
Tomorrow is another day and I’ll change my ways and I wont beat up people I will treat people with respect and everyday I will send them a photo or a text.

  37. It was a Friday night with a fright.
    Cold ice touched my spine.

I hit you first with a curse
    Now u pay
Because your break my heart everyday
You’re still not nice your rude.
You must lay as you pay.

    Next morning awoke
    With a joke
    There my friend still lays
I wander if he’s going to stay or just rot away
Under what we call a drop lipped apple tree
    Going into the mansions chapel
Even if he decides to stay he will still rot away
Because he still hasn’t payed for what he did everyday

I ask him everyday where the money lays
No reply in sight but just a little cry
His heart still bumps out without a doubt
Though I say “hey” he still won’t go away

    Now I feel really bad
Its been a while since I’ve seen him smile
I pray everyday his sprit will go away

I looked out my window today to see no boy in sight
But I know its not right

I realised I was wrong he’s sprit has awoke into my home

  38. All I see is eyes
    waiting for my surprise
on the edge on of my grave
with a hole on a cave

    I fell in a hole
    night and morning till dawn
    pressure in my legs
with a shiver in my hart

    waking in the morning
though I can’t see my hands
    shaking in fear
    my heart like a drum

  39. THE poisoned poem!!!
I can’t wait to taste the Jussy apple on the edges of my drop lip chapel.
I ran in fear as I can’t see my tears running down my cheeks with
    a revengeful smiles.
Even if he paid for what he did my anger will still stay my heart still not.

  40. The opposite day

It was a Monday morning and
    people were boring everyone
    snorted a breeze.

I was sleeping my friend was
    playing my teeth was yellow
    as cheese.

My friends were clocking and I
was snoring and it was a catastrophe.

  41. I was angry with my foe
and I knew I had to go
to that tree so full of venom
As sour as a bitter lemon

I shot a word full of rage
and leaped up high from a cage
I almost pulled the apple from this vicious tree
but when I stretched to get the branches screamed at me

    Help me if you can
how can your anger be banned?
    Is it Irritation?
    I need an explanation

I cast a spell upon him to make think
he gave me an answer in a blink
    Jealousy is the poison core
I gave him love and it was no more

  42. I saw my “FRIEND” walking close to me
I didn’t know why but he seemed angry
He looks at me with a mad face
Then turns around in a weird way

I feel angry at his wrath and I want to seek revenge
It becomes night as I stole into his garden
And see a tree with a apple
I go next to the tree and grab the apple
I bite the apple and see it’s great
It’s bright and red and beautiful…
But all of a sudden it tasted so bitter…

I look at the apple and see a black hole
As a develish face appears and smiles
This develish creature was the last thing I saw
As my vision turns black, and my throat burns
I fall to the floor and it’s my last feeling
    I fade to black
    And never start healing…

  43. There’s only 1 week left! I’ve had sooo much fun and I wish this could go on forever. It has really made me enjoy poetry than ever before and has made me really think about the poems and has inspired me to do more.

    1. Hi Yusra,

I’m ever so pleased. Now you enjoy poetry, you can find more poems you like.

Perhaps when you finish your SATS I can send your class some more lessons.

  44. This is an acrostic poem I wrote about a river:

Roaring at you with all its might,
If you’re out sailing on a stormy night,
Various sized waves drenching the coastline,
Emerald water making your eyes shine,
Roaring river running towards the bridge to rest.

  45. Our poem from the point of view of the Foe

I was happy playing; until is saw my foe,
I saw his anger starting to grow.
    I told my stupidity, “No, no, no”;
But my idiocy manipulated me like a puppet show.

I saw him encouraging his anger to rise,
I spotted the evil in his eyes.
    I wanted him to advise;
    His wrath to eventually die.

But it still grew day by day and night by night,
Until one day, an apple appeared
    Hidden beneath the enormous tree’s leaves;
I thought, to take a bite; but later received a certain fright.

    Unfortunately, the apple deceived me,
And I fell to the ground
To feel my life leave me,
I snarled to my idiocy “I told you so,”

    1. HI Nya Tyrese and Yasar,

I think one of the hardest things to do in poetry it to add rhyme but maintain the meaning you want to convey.
You’ve managed it here and I like your use of repetition too.

  46. The narrators diary entry for that day:

    Dear diary,

I can’t believe I’ve had to resort to this. I just can’t. My foe has taken this too far. My wrath will grow; it’s already started. This gift shall end my foe once and for all. I have water’d my wrath in tears, night and day, without fear, until it bore an apple bright. My foe, of course, knew it was mine. This angered him more and more. This morning, I did it. I did what I needed to do, and I am now staring at my foe, proudly outstretched below the apple tree. This is over.

  47. I was mad with my friend:
    Then my anger did end
But my friends anger did not

    He yelled and yelled
    Until he started to swell
    Soon he started to cry
    So I said bye bye

His anger grew during the day and night
Then a shiny apple caught my sight
    I tried to grab it
    I knew it was mine

    One sharp bite was enough
The sour poison made me feel so rough
This was hatred in a red shiny coat.

  48. I was enraged with my foe
He didn’t tell his wrath to stop
    I was lost of action
    So I left myself thinking

I saw a glimpse of an apple
    Poisened by my foe
    I considered about my adversary
Is it really worth it ?

I tried to think of a plan
    Which would help me understand
    Why he acted so mad
It suddenly came to me I caused the problem ;me!

    In the morining I see
My antagonist looking down at me
I was laying under his anger tree
I saw the apple was about to drop
I heard a baffiling shake in the ground
It was my foe stamping up and down
I caught the apple at last
Me and my new mate had a blast!

  49. The poise tree
    Foes point of view

I have an enemy he hates me. He keeps all of his anger inside and I wish he’d tell me why . So I was going over to his house to talk to him . I saw a beautiful red apple so I couldn’t help but have a bite , so I took a bite but what I didn’t know was that it was poison

    Heidi

  50. Poem from foes perspective.

I watch his wrath grow from my window,
    And under my floorboards.
I wonder why he hates me?
Why he calls me his foe,
    I may never know.

  51. My poem influenced by ‘TheTyger’ is:
    Lion Lion,killing hunters,
In the desert when morning strikes.
Who else would do a thing,
Is it because there can only be one king of Lions?

    Where is your pray,at night?
    Do you hunt with might?
    Or,do you hunt with fright?
Do you want to eat or sleep?

  52. Hi everyone this is my poem called

    The dolphin

    Dolphin dolphin
    Splashes around
    In the clear blue sea
    Where it stands it’s grounds

Protecting his pod from the vicious sharks
    But once they swam away
    One sadly pasts
    Why did they do this?

  53. Peacock peacock
    All blue and white
To fragile to kill or fight
    What animal could even resist
To go to this Peacock and give it a kiss.

Far in the jungle, where this Peacock lives,
A snake comes trying to find it with a warning of a hiss.

who could be more majestic than I?
In what way am I a normal animal roaming the beautiful jungles?

    Peacock Peacock,
How beautiful am I walking through the jungle elegantly?

  54. Hi guys I hope you enjoy my poem called

    Horse
    Horse horse
    You run so fast
You have been a good horse for last
    Your hair matches the night
    You can fight
    You have powers

    Horse horse
    You run so fast
You have been a good horse for last
    Your a good love
You smile every where you move
    You are there for me
If you were alive we are together

    By Ambar

    1. Hi Ambar,

I’m very much enjoying the animal poems Pakeman are sharing with us.

Excellent use of repetition and you convey the power of the horse.

  55. Crocodile,crocodile dangerous and green
If you are going to hunt the crocodile it won’t be on the sea
It does the randomise then eat an animal
Then shows off acting it is cool

It is always thinking that it should make a creature die
Then the parents are going to be sad then cry
Please please can someone stop this
Before it will devour humans and animals to tiny bits

  56. I think the poison Tree is about a man who has a foe and try’s to battles his anger and when he crys he makes a apple tree and one day the foe comes into the garden and dies. I think the point of the poem is to tell someone you trust how you feel if you are angry or upset.

  57. Crocodile,crocodile dangerous and green
If you are going to hunt the crocodile it won’t be on the sea
It does a randomise then eats a random animal
Then show off acting it is cool

It is always thinking it should make a creature die
Then their parents will be sad then cry
Please please can someone stop this
Before it will devour animals and humans to tiny bits

  58. Monkey, Monkey climbing high, brown furred and yellow eyes;
It’s heart beats to a rhythm the rhythm of life , who created this creature ?
They stay high in the sky , but why can they fly ?
There are hunters, hunting why ?
Do they kill or do they die?
