  1. We enjoyed learning all about the painting and seeing them at Kenwood House
also we love doing the advert about old London bridge.

  2. We think that the Shepard boys and two dogs fighting was the best picture because it looks good. it was fun when we had to draw the rest off the picture.

  3. I liked it when we wrote about all the paintings because we like art and got to see it in real life. We enjoyed writing about old London bridge because we saw London bridge 350 years ago and we got to pick which side we wanted about old London bridge.

  4. I think the course is a good way to learn about famous, interesting and inspiring paintings. Instead of just looking at the paintings, but doing fun writing activities too. To make it better for next year, I think more arty stuff should be included like perhaps painting a different scene to a painting. Apart from that, I thought the course was great.

  5. I like this project because this very interesting about the paintings, they give us ideas about things and our piece of art.

  6. I really liked this project because it includes your ideas and thoughts it is fun and creative and exiting I loved looking at the painting’s .

  7. I like the course because you really get into the character and you learn about the story behind the painting. I also liked the selection of paintings chosen. They were very interesting. Someone talking about the painting helped me spot parts of the picture I hadn’t noticed before (like heads on spikes).

  8. I enjoyed the project because there were lots of beautiful paintings in lots of different shapes and sizes. I also liked it because the paintings had so much detail. The paintings make you think about whats happening in the painting and if you really think about it you might be able to make a story out of the picture of the painting.

  9. I enjoyed the course because I have learnt a lot of things/facts! It was exciting when I went Kenwood house! My favourite painting was old London bridge! It was detailed and there was a lot to talk about! One surprising fact I have learnt that they put heads on sticks! Michael tor guided us and he taught me a bag of things! To make it better for next year, I think to make it interesting they could show us famous painting and the most expensive ones too!

  10. Last week I went to Kenwood for the second time because I went there before with my family. But this time I went to Kenwood for a school trip . I went with Michael Welsh! Who even made this blog !We talked about the 5 paintings we have been talking about in school which are the two Sheppard boys with dogs fighting,The girl with the guitar, Miranda who had never seen a boy before,Old London Bridge and Henrietta and the page who was like a servant to her I had a lot of experience of famous people in the past.

  11. I liked the course cause coralline talk about every painting that we learnt about at school but she told us even more information about them.

Kenwood is so beautiful cause it’s all white and peach. It looks like it does not have one scratch on it ok I think I’m exaggerating there must have been a couple but it’s still wonderful with the pond, hills, bushes and trees.

The Paintings: Old London Bridge, The Guitar Player, Tollemache as Miranda, Henrietta and page, Two Shepard boys and dogs fighting all of those paintings were tremendous and I don’t have a favourite cause there all so good and colourful. Everyone of the paintings are old and traditional paintings. Michael Walsh if you post this I will be ssssooooooooooooooo happy!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. last week we went to kenwood house!I enjoyed,we also met miachel welsh.my favourite painting was the old London bridge, because I liked how it is different from now days London bridge.

  13. On Thursday morning Bronte class went to the marvellous Kenwood house. We were discussing Five different paintings with Caroline and Michael Walsh.

One of the paintings was called “Old London Bridge”. It was a lot longer than we expected because all the other paintings were in a square shape. This painting was painted in the 16 hundreds!

The next painting I would like to share with you is called “Henrietta and the page”. It was forcing you to look at Henrietta. This was because she looked threatening so you would look at the page and the page looks at Henrietta so then you would keep looking at her.

Finally the last painting is called “Ms Tollemache as Miranda”. This painting had a lot of detail and makes you think a lot. There was a shipwreck I the back ground and a little boat that looked like a canoe. Miranda is based on a character in the Shakespeare play. She was the star of the painting. Then you have Caliban the son of a witch.

  14. This has been an amazing project with many exiting activity’s .The past 5 weeks have been the best in my hole 4 years at school! Personally, I liked the old London bridge best but I also enjoyed the activaty when we did it on the honourable Mrs Tolamach as Miranda. In addition to the paintings, the trip was also

  15. I have loved this amazing art project (really amazing)! It was really enjoyable and really fun. To be honest, I loved all the masterpieces but I liked the honourable Mrs Tollemache as Miranda by 0.1 %. The thing I loved about the picture was the amount of detail and the fact that Miranda is looking outside the painting. If you have seen the tempest, you will know who or what she is looking at. I felt proud of my work and LOVED it. As I loved it, I want to do it again. Lord Ivys ( the person who bought all of the pictures) must have been extremely rich and popular. Thank you for your breathtaking work. I am not finished, the trip was even more fabulous ; I cannot forget the park and the fantastic views.

  16. These five weeks were amazing . This is a wonderful way of learning ,because we think about the photo. Also the second last week was the best learning for me and my class . My best photo must be ” Mrs Tollemarche as Miranda ” because this picture had so much stuff to talk about in our classroom. Nearly the whole class was talking about this master piece by Reynolds . I loved to see these pictures and write about them because this is helpful in my learning. Thank you Mr walsh.

  17. This has been an amazing project with many exiting activities .The past 5 weeks have been the best in my hole 4 years at school! Personally, I liked the old London bridge best but I also enjoyed the activaty when we did it on the honourable Mrs Tollemache as Miranda. In addition to the paintings, the trip was also a lot of fun. I am not surprised Lord Ivis put all of the wonderful paintings at kenwood house. I would like to thank you for all your time and effort put into this project. Thank you, this must have been a hard time for you.

One thing you could have improved is the length the of the project. We could have done more activates.

  18. This was my best 5 weeks of my whole year 4 school year.We studied lots of paintings but The honourable Mrs Tollermach as Miranda was by far the best. Kenwood house is a lovely building with lots of light. In addition to the paintings, the trip was is well a lot of fun! We could see lots views when we arrived at the heath.I am not surprised that Lord Ivys put all the paintings in Kenwood house.I hope that you enjoyed doing this to. Thank you for putting so much effort in to this.

In addition that this is already a amazing project you could improve it by showing some modern paintings.

  19. I loved this amazing art project! It was really enjoyable and very fun. To be honest, I loved all of the superb masterpieces but I just couldn’t help but like Old London Bridge more. The thing I loved about this painting was when we did our work on it we could try and persuade the reader [our teacher] to buy a house on either side of the bridge [London]. If you have seen it, it is really long when you see it in Kenwood House. I felt proud of my self and LOVED it. As I loved, I want to do this again. Lord Ivis [the great person who bought all of the pictures], must of being extremely rich and kind. Also a BIG thanks to Mr Walsh for setting up the trips and contributing his time for our education. It was really fun and exciting.

The think I would ask to improve is the length of the project so we could explore many more paintings and meet the many staff that worked there when we visited again. Also another BIG thanks to all the staff who booked us to come to Kenwood House art gallery.
