  1. My symbol I chose for myself

The symbol I would chose for myself would be a book a person of knowledge someone who you can go to for advice the person who can take away pain when you get lost into it thats what i am like

    1. Hi Raymond,

That’s an interesting choice and from your explanation I can see you’ve really thought about it.

  2. The symbol I would choose to represent myself is a supremely secure vault. I choose this symbol because all my friends usually look to me when they have troubles or things that they don’t feel confident in sharing with numerous people. A vault is strong and no matter what, would never ever let go of its components. If you don’t know where to put a prized possession, a vault is always the place to put it in. It solves that particular problem. I love to listen to my friends worries and help them out with the best advice I can. Also, if I swear to secrecy I will never let it slip. And that is why I see myself as a vault.

    1. Hi Kimberley,

That’s an interesting and unique choice of symbol to represent someone but you explain the reasons in great depth.

Perhaps you could try writing a poem with the vault as a symbol?

  3. Brian Patten

    1. Hi Oisin,

A snake certainly seems to suit you based on your energy…

traditionally a snake has been a symbol of evil… think about the snake in the Garden of Eden.

  4. There was a woman
    Walking down a dark, empty
    Ally way when
    She was going
    Back
    She saw some women doing
    Bad
Stuff then she look and saw
    Jail then she
Said she wanted to be bad
And she comes out of jail
    But
    She was going ramp page
    On the
    Sheet
    Then
    She went to
    Jail gaining.

      We’d like to read it.

  31. My symbol i would choose to represent myself is stairs going up and on top is a flag and beside the flag is a light bulb. When you reach the top the flag wave really fast and the light bulb shines really light.

That’s an interesting and unique symbol… A compass is a symbol poets often like to use.

  36. The symbol I would choose to represent myself is a book still being written. I picked this because each chapter of the book is like a new part of my life and I’m learning more things and storing them up in pages of my life.

    1. HI Matthew,

I like the way you’ve gone beyond a typical form of symbolism, a book and made an important change by stating it is unfinished. This seems subtle and you’ve given interesting explanations for your choice.

Thank you for your hard work. Keep it up.

  37. I represent myself as a magnifying glass because there are so many things I have not uncovered and analysed yet.

    1. Hi Jessica,

      Keep up the hard work.

  42. The symbol I would choose to represent myself as, is a Bird flying through the sky. I chose this symbol because I am always flying and searching for new horizons and targets to make for myself and then reaching them. By Oscar

    1. Hi Oscar,

Thank you for sharing your symbol with us.

      Keep up the hard work.

  44. Lion

I would represent myself as a Lion. I choose this symbol because I am fast and I can see the race ahead, I am also fast and a winner and determined to win. I also chose myself as a Lion because when I see my competitor I show them who I am and they flee from me is several directions.
    I am the Winner!

    1. Hi Ceana,

Your symbol seems to build upon the idea of the lion as the king of the jungle. It’s certainly a powerful symbol .

      Keep up the hard work.

  45. The symbol I would choose to represent myself as is the sky. I chose this symbol because everyone who feels lonely looks up to me and ask me for help. I always try and give them the best to response to them and next time they will know who ask for when they are in the world with no-one but themself. After they ask me they will be transported into the world of friendship where loneliness never existed.

    1. HI Sophie,

That’s a lovely symbol and explanation. I think you could compose an interesting poem around someone looking at the sky for help….

An imaginative idea. Keep up the hard work.

  46. My symbol

The symbol I would chose to represent myself
is a lion, because when something
Knocks me down I get back up even stronger

Stand full of pride and also
    I respect myself.

  47. The symbol I would choose to represent myself is a boy. I chose this sign because at times I can be quite boisterous and very cheeky. Boys are good making excuses for themselves so that they do not get into situations they cannot get out of.
When people knock me down I get back up like a soldier and fight for my rights just as many boys do. Majority of boys are caring and always take girls under their wing when they see that they are struggling to defend themselves whilst having an argument.

  48. Cheetah
The symbol I would choose to represent myself is a cheetah. I chose a cheetah because in class sometimes I do a lot of cheating and that is what cheetahs do. And also when my friends have a problem I would tell them how to solve it and at the end I will tell them a trick that would cause them to cheat but they would never get into trouble and I wouldn’t get in trouble either.

    1. Hi Michael,

Thank you for sharing your symbol with us.

Do cheetahs really cheat? You sound like you have some clever solutions to problems to share with people.

  49. The symbol I would choose to represent myself is a scorpion. Scorpions have to survive in very hard conditions and I see that in myself because in certain situations I will always find a way around problems (even in the hardest of obstacles.) I also feel a scorpion represents me as I not afraid to use my sting!

    1. Hi Hugo,

This is a clever symbol. Your reasons are excellent and show you understand symbolism. The next challenge is to write a poem with symbolism. Perhaps you could build on your idea of the scorpion.

  50. The symbol that I chose to represent my self is a rose because,
I am always trying to be loving and I want everybody to smile.
Also as I bloom up I get bigger and stronger. I also I shine in the summer
And just like a rose I go away in the winter and pop back
    Up in the summer,
And just like a rose I am not very fond of the winter.

    1. HI Keya,

A rose is a symbol many poets use. Why do you think a rose is such a popular symbol? I like the way you’ve highlighted how roses grow and fade. I think poets are always drawn to this.

    1. Hi Ethan,

That’s an interesting idea as foxes are often seen as sly and dangerous rather than helpful. Do you see foxes differently?

  53. The symbol I chose to represent myself is calm waves swaying around with swirls. I chose them because, they really go together and create the inside if me. I am calm and steady like the sea/river water.

  54. My symbol is a book bececause i love reading and i love looking a different genres aswell as one type of book. Also my symbol is a hard back book though because i am quite strong against other people.
