I really like the painting John Josef Merlin because of the detail I wonder how long it took Thomas Gainsburugh make it
was he the only rich person

I love john joesph merlin’s invention’s but my fravourite invention was the silver swan and i you looked very closely the silver swan was picking up fish

I think that john joseph meriln is celver because he’s good at making things for eg he made cards for the blind.
In Gainsborough’s paintings there are lots of women wearing blue dresses because in the bible Mary was wearing blue.
He started painting landscapes because he got bored of painting pictures of people so he changed to landscapes so he can see the view.
I think that Jhon Joseph Merlin had to work really hard to invent all those machines.He must have took a long time to find all that scrap,He must have searched the whole town.

1.My opinion on John Joseph Merlin is that his inventions were helpful,e.g.two robots.
2.The similarities between Gainsborough’s portraits is they have serious faces and the
ladies wear blue dresses.
3.I think Gainsborough chose to move onto landscapes because they are more detailed and more exciting.
Yes I agree landscapes are more detailed and exiting
then portraits.
I love John Joseph Merlin inventions especially the silver swan. I think some of his inventions are very beautiful, shiny and some are very dull but some of his inventions help people.
the similarity’s in Gainsborough,s portraits is that all of the women are sitting down .
I also think Gainsborough changed from portrait to landscape because he liked nature.

I like the silver swan too. It still works today and is in a museum in the North of England.
I like John Joseph Merlin inventions because they’re all mechanical expert one
Gainsborough’s portraits weren’t that good because they were all the same people with different dresses and different similarity between Gainsborough’s portraits they were all dark colors for the men and bright colors for the girls the men were holding a gun the women were sitting down .Around the country it was in files it would of been wet.

Gainsborough’s portraits weren’t that good because they were all the same people the similarities between Gainsborough’s portraits they were all dark the girls are all wearing blue dresses the men are standing up and the women are sitting down .
I think Gainsborough changed to landscapes towards the end of his career because he went around the world a lot and liked the country’sand open fields.
My opinion is that John is nice because his things are useful and helpful.
The similar thing are the woman they always sit.

One of the similarities between Gainsborough’s paintings is that the ladies wore blue dresses in the olden days.
I think that Thomas stopped doing portraits because it started to get boring and Thomas wanted to explore more in his art.

I think that John Joseph Merlin got under a lot of pressure so he quit painting and sketching people and started doing landscapes
John Joseph Merlin invented two robots, a skeleton clock and a gouty chair.
In Gainborough’s painting he looks like Samuel Pepys because Samuel has also got a red jacket and a wig .
Gainsborough’s so extraordinary and nice and his painting is so good – the best painting in the world. The end.
Well done for remembering the gouty chair. You’ll see one when you visit Kenwood House.
My opinion on John Joseph Merlin is that he is a
very clever inventor because he invented things that
helped people .
I think that the similarity’s are that in the portraits all
of them had trees in the picture. And there were normally
had dogs and a man holding a gun in them .I thought
the gun was for hunting .
I think Gainsborough changed to landscape because he
could add more detail and he could paint little things in the
background .As well as that he can put more colour in
the painting.

My opinion on John Joseph Merlin’s inventions are really helpful now a days and, I really liked how he used his inventions for the blind.
I think the similarities between Gainsborough’s portraits are that all the people have straight faces, I think they had serious faces because they wanted to be old fashioned.
I think Gainsborough wanted to paint more landscape pictures towards the end of his career because, he wanted more detail in his pictures and, he got sick of painting people.
I think his invention was very useful and cool.
One of the simalarities s that the all the lady’s in the olden day’s they weard blue.

My opinion to John Joseph Merlin in 1782 is that i liked the idea that he made up a weighing scales,carousels, cards for the blinds and many more but in these days they are very good for weighing for how fat they are.
His portraits are with dogs, hats and guns some are straight faces,blue dresses and most women sit down. Most women wear blue dresses because Mary in the bible wore blue so thats how blue came popular.
Maybe he chose land scape is because you can add so many different details.
I like John Joseph Merlin’s inventions because he was alive a really long time
ago, and in the 1782 they don’t have that much things at that time.
In Gainsborough’s portraits most of the men are standing and the woman are sitting I think this because their dresses are going to get destroyed

The similarities about these portraits are that men are usually holding guns. Also, men are standing up and woman are sitting down.
I think Gainsborough moved to landscape because he liked it more than portraits.
The colours of his coat are really colourful and are really bright to use. He looks like a king so he must be rich
