I like how Yusef thought of loads of different ways to describe basketball. I also like how he repeated the words fast breaks, layouts because it is like a chorus and he does it at the beginning and at the end.
I thought the poem was inspiring so I wrote my own poem about sport

I think this poem has very good rhythm and flows nicely. It makes me think of something smooth, calm, swift.

Cricket, football, and swimming,

Zaara-To me it’s a very fun and motivational poem.Maria-I like the way that the poet uses metaphors .Zaara-It has a sporty vibe going on. Maria-It makes me use my imagination which is something I love to do. Zaara-In my opinion, it is the best poem in the world!

This is my favourite poem so far out of all three of the poems but all of them means something and that something is powerful,strong and it should be very special to all of us in a meaningful way. everybody should love this poem whether or not they like basketball or not or even if they don’t like any kind of sport everybody should appreciate this poem.

I like this poem because it is very descriptive but it sounds quick like the reader is actually playing the game.I also think this poem is similar to mother to son because they are both saying even though things can be hard you can succeed if you try.
