  1. It looks very inspiering for people to paint but something i dont like is the dark coulers i think that with bright coulers it would look nicer .

  2. I adore this wonderful painting and it’s small details that makes the painting beautiful. Our class talked about what we could se and we divided the tranquil painting into three parts, the background, the right side and the left side. I also spotted laundry women and a washing line in the corner. Comment if you did too!!! I also have a question and it would be great if someone could answer it. It’s simple but ,why are there laundry women???

    1. I think the painter painted the laundry women because that’s how people used to wash there clothes in the olden days and that’s what he could see

  3. There are beautiful green trees in the rough hard mountain. There is soft grass as people in the distance instruct. The sky is speaking to me as i look at it and the clouds are softer than a pillow. There are beautiful brick houses with purple soil in the garden.

  4. There are buildings in the corner also they are behind the lady that is pointing at the kid that is sitting on the floor. There are humongous rocks and one has a face also there next to each other. There are trees that are big, green and made out of wood. There are beautiful and green grass that you can play in and grow flowers in. There is a beautiful sky that is blue and it gives you fresh air to breath.

  5. In the distance there is a lot of trees there also are smells of the soap because they were cleaning. also i can here trees moving by the wind. I also notice the trees are moving from side to side. There is a lady telling some one of . there also are houses in the back . You might also faintly here a bell that is ringing . there are clean puffy clouds .

  6. In this place, our ear’s can hear the fresh green tree’s waving to side to side. In front of the house I saw people cleaning and drying the dirty clothes. This place is the wonderful, view and the green field. Since there’s hill’s you can go down there and walk on it.

If you saw the clothe’s they are different and amazing color’s . Also if you go down the hill it smell’s so clean.

  7. In the light, blue sky the birds are chirping a song way down to the beautiful, brown branch. In the distance, the church bell is ringing as loud as it can so I can hear. The herbs washing our clothes are tingling up my nose trying to make me sneeze. As if it was sunbathing, the lovely smelling cake was baking in the oven. Then as if it was nothing a small whistle breeze hit my nose making it shake and shiver. At the top of the hill, the draught hits me even more while the cake finished in the hot, warm oven.

  30. Today in our class we have been looking at the picture called A VIEW OF LONDON and we have been describing it. WE have been working in partners and we used 1 old picture and 1old picture .

  31. I was amazed how much London has changed, it would of been quiet, relaxing, spacious it was very inspiring to people who are young and want to paint. The blue sky felt very vibrant and made me feel relaxed. If i was there i could imagine the birds tweeting and how the trees sway side to side you can imagine like you was there

  32. We like this panting, it looks peaceful and not polluted because its not to noisy and full of cars.it does look a bit empty and lonely but it is always open for people to come and hang out and make friends.

  33. We have looked at a picture and it was called A view of London and there was a new picture and a old picture and it was both called A view of London 1713 and A view of London 2019

  34. We like this picture because it feels like its so peaceful and calm and you feel like you are in 1713 Highgate. It looks cloudy so we can’t see it can eneyone tell us whats behind the clouds

  35. This painting is a painting of Highgate Hill in 1713 , Our class has been learning about this spectacular painting by Richard Wilson. My class has looked at this painting in 3 different ways and we also tried drawing one part. If it was possible to live in that area where the people were standing would you live there?

  36. This is a good painting and is very detailed art work. It looks very calm and peaceful. It looks very green.it so amazing that London has change overtime. It looks so different to Highgate hill now. There are so much space and there so much fields. Where would you like to live on the left, middle or right? LOL

  37. Me and my partner saw the picture and got a paper and wrote adjectives to describe the picture we wrote peaceful ,calm, foggy, dull, trees, house, people, clothes, breezy and dreamy. We liked the picture because it has lots of detail and towers near by.

  38. We learnt about view of London from Highgate. In the Highgate painting we thought it was peaceful and clean and made us feel happy and calm.

There are beautiful trees and far away we saw a city. It is busy around the city they were car and buses.

  39. I like this painting because it has a very nice outline and well we think is a really good painting . We studied three different parts of it and sketched one of the parts. I sketched the London view and Kory also sketched the London view . We like how dark he made it . Although the painter could have made it a little bit better by making it just a little bit lighter . I cant really see the houses . But there is a good bit about it being dark because I like how the peoples clothes is reflect in the dark because they are white. Also the view is really good.

  40. We have been describing the old picture called A view of London 1713 and we have been describing it as peaceful. The 2019 place is busy and loud.

  41. This painting is very dull and peaceful, in 1713 no one had phones, cars or electric things, it was calm. This paining is a masterpiece and very dreamful and not as crowded as now. When I learned about this paining the photo was split into three bits.

  42. I think that the painting is really clear view from which well the artist took the painting has a huge nature the skyline has really nice detailed colour sky ,London is the view it is busy but it blueish and big.I also think that the difference to this picture to Highgate in 2019 is that the picture is much peaceful. Why is the picture not like it is in Highgate?

  43. We liked this painting because there was lots of detail and lots of interesting things to look at. We compared this painting to Highgate now. We saw differences and similarities. The differences were the new tall buildings and people wearing modern clothes in the 2019 picture.

We split the picture into thirds- the bottom left side, the bottom right side and the middle and top. We liked the fields most because it made us feel happy and excited.

We think the colour of the sky wasn’t very blue and the painting would’ve been better if the sky was a brighter blue.

  44. We’ve discussed this beautiful picture in class. Sometimes I wonder how he did the details from small places to another. It looks so realistic. And we redesigned this picture to a Futuristic Of London in 300 years and even wrote a advert to provide people living in our cities.

  45. In our class we describe about the picture, what we liked about the picture and we found out st pauls use to be the tallest building 300 years ago but now it is not
