We imagined what the girl is looking at.
This is what I imagine the girl is looking at.
My drawing
We drew what we thought the girl was looking at, this is my drawing.
We think she is wearing clothes that a rich person would wear and she is playing the guitar. Although she looks wealthy, looking at the back round it looks like her room is small and dark. This painting was made by Johannes Vermeer. He lived in Holland. One of the similarities between the guitar player and the girl with the pearl ear ring would be they are facing the same direction. A difference is the girl with a pearl ear ring looks younger. I think the guitar player is looking at her husband.
Today were doing art about kenwood house we’re talking about a picture of a lady playing a guitar. There is also a painting behind her. We’re discussing what we can see.
The name of it is’ the guitar player’. We had to answer some questions with our partners. Then we had to draw what she is looking at.
The Guitar Player
the guitar player was painted by Johannes Vermeer. He lived in Holland in the 17th century. He painted this between 1670-1672. The painting is more than 330 years old. Johannes also painted the girl with the earring which was very famous. the guitar player is very unique because her arm isn’t fully in the picture and she is looking on the left hand side.
We think there are books and paintings behind her and she is holding a guitar . The painter was named Johannes Vermeer. He was most famous for painting a girl with a pearl earring . We think the paintings are posh . The girl playing the guitar has a real fur collar. We think that the girl is second class . The rest of her dress is made of silk . We think she is looking at nature .
The guitar player
It was pained by Johannes Vermer he lived in Holland 17 century.
The pictures are the same because one of the pictures are based on the guitar and one pictures have the girl looking at the painting and the other pictures is not looking.I think in the first picture she was looking out the window. I also think she is not pleased with her picture.
We think she is 37 years old. This painting called the guitar player. The person who painted this is called Vermeer, he also painted a picture called the girl with the pearl earing. Both pictures look like mosaics.
It looks like she is holding a guitar. We think she is sixteen years old. She’s probably playing a song on the guitar and singing along. It looks a bit like an art gallery. It has very good detail. I like the way they have gone down in detail. It’s cool that the girl is not looking at the camera. We think she is looking at her teacher. Her dress looks likes it’s made of silk and satin. The whole in the guitar looks like real gold. She also might be in Ken ward House. She looks like an English person. The painter would of probably spent about a month.

Dear diary,
Today was a very beautiful and sunny day. I m proud of myself. Today I felt happy and I was learning how to play a guitar. I was really good so I played a song with my guitar.
So then I sat down and my guitar teacher listened to me play my guitar. While I was playing my guitar I got distracted by something. I looked side to side but there was nothing there. But my teacher said that I have to stop and be focused. Then my teacher said to me “well Done!” ” Now you can go do your homework and read your books.” Then I said “Ok.” After I finished, I went to go get a snack. Then when I finished my snack I went to go play my guitar again!

I’m writing to tell you about my day.I’m writing in my room,I feel tense and tired and it’s super late. I should go to sleep.
I had a guitar lesson and I got distracted from my lesson by this boy named James. I think I like him but I am so anxious. I don’t know if he likes me. I hope he does. I think I’ll see him tomorrow but I’m not sure. He was standing next to the dressmakers – I think he works there. My parents will be angry that I am keen on a boy who works in a shop. They will want me to marry a smart boy.
Later on I was so delighted to see my best friend.My mother came I was happy and thrilled but she took me on a walk. I was so amazed after everything and a little bit nervous because everything seems to be happening at once.
I’m going to sleep diary, I will write tomorrow.
Dear Diary i loved today . it was the best day of my life . i was having a enormously to play my guitar and i finished the song that took me a really long time. But when I was playing my guitar a bee kept on distracting me. It went on my guitar , wall,string of guitar and my painting . The bee was annoying me and i got sick and tired of it . if the bee was not bothering me i would of kept playing my guitar but it kept on annoying me. I was confused and my mind was everywhere. Yesterday I was practicing some guitar lessons. It was actually really fun to play with the guitar. I like reading because it has given me knowledge and it has increased my thinking skills. wait, something caught my eye. It was a person calling my name.
Oh! maybe it is my mum calling me for dinner. But the voice was getting louder. Wow! I never knew a butterfly were so majestic. Wow!! I felt a strange but cool felling inside my heart. It was music. I am so inspired of the music that is playing outside of my window.
Now I can try playing my self.

I have been liking my guitar lessons LOTS!! Today I was distracted by someone knocking on my mansions front door. I smiled and looked to the door just about to call them in. Then my guitar teacher shouted “No speaking i’m about to show you my guitar solo!!” So I stopped and listened. I had to say it was very good.
Now it was my lunchtime and for lunch is spaghetti with chocolate bolonaise! For pudding chocolate banana cake for the drink hot chocolate.
i think this girl is 16 and she is at her guitar lesson and she looks like shes rich because of the pearl necklace and it looks like shes in a mansion and pretty good at making music

Today was the most spectacular day ever! Today I was having a guitar lesson as usual but something weird, sparkly and majestic caught my eye. It sparkled in the sun as I plucked my guitar strings. I thought about it to see if I recognized it. At last I knew what it was. It was a wand! i was shocked.
I got up from my seat running towards it. I noticed a book that said SPELLS so… I read on out not knowing where it would take me. Then as quick as a flash, I zapped into a magical world. I started examining the place. I felt like I was walking on a big, fluffy cloud. At that moment I found a crystal door.
I went through them crystal door and stood still. It was BEAUTIFUL! I’ve never seen anything like it. Without a warning, I got sucked into something! I felt scared. Then i realized I was in a spaceship! I calmed down feeling strange. The aliens that were in the vehicle weren’t scary at all. They were all so cute! I started having fun with them. We even made up a new game. I then realized the time. I waved a gentle bye as they waved it back. I then zapped to my chair loosing the wand! I am still searching for the wand see you next time!
Dear diary,
I am writing to tell you about my delightful day and my overjoyed feeling’s too. I am writing with the fearless,delightful and bright moon. We both have frightened feelings too.
You don’t want to know the day I had. I learnt to play the loving guitar and I played with some friends. I am feeling a little sleepy and afraid because it is a dark night and I miss you.
I am soon going to give you more letters to read. I hope you are safe. I am safe too.
I learnt how to be a gentlewoman and many things more. I wish I can come and see you.

I had such a funny day.
My tutor came & taught me how to play the guitar. Then

Dear diary,
I am writing to tell you about my day. I am doing this in my room. I feel so tired yet i am still happy and exited for tomorrow. I am meant to be asleep but but i am doing this.
Theirs this boy called john and i get butterfly’s in my tummy when i see him. I met him when my tutor was teaching me how to play the guitar while john was tieing up his horse. I might see him tomorrow. while i was playing the guitar, my friend called Lila surprised me by coming to my lesson. Tomorrow i might go to Lila’s house to say “thank you”.
I have to be asleep now but i can’t wait for tomorrow to tell you about my day. Good night diary.
I am very happy and overjoyed because i cant wait for my friends to come over so i went to the market and i see a very handsome boy named Greg, he was so kind to people he even helps his mum and dad and he tidies his bedroom when it is messy I didn’t know that when I got to the market I see him again and he came up to me and said do you want to be my girlfriend, I said definitely will be your girlfriend, I was thrilled then i went back home with the shopping . My mum said fantastic you got what I wanted, then the portraitists came to paint my portrait.

Since I was doing my guitar lessons with my tutor.I have done outstanding work. I now on advanced mode so I am doing the hardest guitar tunes. When I finished my lesson me and Conor were extremely excited about going to the water park later on today.
I knew I would have so much fun especially with the gigantic water park we were going on. We were going to go on roller coasters that traveled through water.
At the end of the ride we would fly out of our seat into a huge pool that wouldn’t hurt at all!
A few hours later I was thrilled about going into the car and onto the enormous water park. I packed my stuff and I got dressed into my swimming suit that had pandas on.
My swimming suit also had exotic turquoise on them as well.

I am writing to tell you about my day. I am really exhausted but I am also delighted to talk to you. It was a magnificent day ! I was very shocked because i didn’t know one of my dreams were coming true.
Can you believe my favourte music player came to my house ! I was overjoyed playing the guitar and she taught me a calm , attractive song.Also she said i might be in one of her new songs. Isn’t that wonderful ! Plus she gave me a smooth , splendid guitar which had carved, stunning, gold patterns on it’s sound hole .
I hope i see her again , I probably will because we might make a lovely song together. Oh i think it’s late now and my mum is calling me . so goodnight.
Dear Diary,
Oh my goodness. I am so tired but i still need to write to you to tell you about my day . By the way i am delighted to be writing this in my bedroom on my comfy bed.
Can you believe my maid came in earlier this morning.Inn the middle of the guitar lesson with a bowl of delicious vanilla cake with strawberry ice-cream on the side.I looked behind her to see my best friend Paige who moved away. A very long time ago when I was about 7 but now I am 15. I was so amazed that I saw her but when I looked down at her hand this boy was holding her hand so i looked up to see what looked liked her boyfriend and i was right he was really handsome. For some reason I felt butterfly’s in my stomach and my cheeks going pink. I didn’t know what happened but I went all shy. I was still in the middle of my guitar lesson.
Paige was holding in her other hand a fine wrapped gift. I t was a splendid blue bow that I could tie in my hair for me to wear at an exquisite dinner or party.
But all I could focus on was Jordan – her boyfriend. His golden hair was covering one of his eyes. The eye I could was a dreamy green as grass colour.
I feel so mixed up because I don’t know what to think about him. I feel nervous and embarrassed…

Dear diary,
I am writing to tell you about my day. I am writing this in my room. I should be in bed now asleep. I am really impressed with myself because I am getting better with my guitar lessons.
My mother and my father are also impressed with my guitar lessons. But sometimes I get distracted because there are some boys and girls that shout and talk so loudly outside but my mother and my father said to carry on and be brave.
Today my mother and my father said that tomorrow they are going to take me somewhere special and sweet. I hope that it is a fancy restaurant or even better an art place where there is a lot of paintings from different art people. I am so exited to go somewhere sweet and special.
Hopefully they will give me a little treat at the end. I will asked them if I could have some delicious ice-cream or some delicious sweets. I can’t wait for it.

I writing o tell you about my day big day.It’s was the biggest day ever.I feel tired after this long day ,It’s hard to stay awake. My body is telling me to go to bed but my brain telling me to write my diary .I chose to write my diary.
The first thing I did was have a delicious breakfast.My mother and father made my Favorited pancakes with golden syrup and fresh berry’s. I was thrilled.
After, my fantastic breakfast,my mum took me to the shops . I went to get some ice -cream and I saw a handsome boy . I felt a feeling I’ve never felt before. then the ice-cream fell out of my hand and the boy and I went to get the ice – cream and suddenly are hands were meeting.Before I knew it i asked what his name was and if he would like to come over for dinner.Yo want believe he said . Yes your correct he said I would love to .

Today i had the best day ever. Because I had a guitar lesson. Me and my dad booked me in. When I first went inside she had a really expensive guitar. The hole of the guitar looked as if it was made out of pure gold which was magnificent for me and and she was my guitar teacher.
She was a really calm teacher calmer than my normal school teacher. I sat down on to the wooden stool and it smelt naturalistic. I learnt some notes while I was. A interesting eye-catching thing caught my eye it was very suspicious thing that may have been from a Jewelry store I picked it up and hidden it. A while later when it was
time to go home i was surprised that i got the free ring it had white and blue gems and gold i went outside and showed it to my dad. When i gave it to my dad he dropped it
my mind said what why did you give it to him? you shouldent of gave that. I went home and slept and dreamed of it
Dear Diary,
Yesterday, It was a nice sunny,quiet day. I went to the market to buy some fashionable and rich clothes for myself. I was really interested in a crimson coat with real fur. As quick as a flash I ran to the Jewlery shop, suddenly I spotted some awsome pearl necklaces. They showne like a dimond. Quite quickly, I rushed to the Library shop and borrowed some entertaining books so it teached me how to play the guitar because I was dying to try it!
Finally, I got home and started to learn how to play the guitar. It had lovely patterns and designs on it. I plucked a tune wrong but I checked the book again. I had to curl my hair so it wasn’t in my way! I got the tune correct. YES!! I was so happy and delighted! Their was a hard tune to play. Hmmm, could I pla this? Lets see! While I was playing my guitar something caut my eye and distracted me. It was a colourful butterfly, I guess? It flew away. AAAhh! I could of looked at it. Well I should prbably carry on playing my guitar. What will happen next time?
We have been looking at the painting called the Guitar Player that was created by Vermeer. We have been spotting the differences and similarities of The Guitar Player and The Girl With the Pearl Earing. We written a paragraph of the Guitar Player. This was the last painting then we would go on our trip to Kenwood House. This is something similar. They are both from Vermeer. This is something different. They are in different backgrounds.

The guitar player turning left because probably her private teacher is teaching her how to play the guitar. her hobbies are playing the guitar, parents are probably wealthy because she had a pearl necklance and a gold guitar.
